Urbane carries xtracycle stuff but i don't you think they carry surly. Bikes on Wheels might be able to order you a Big Dummy frame. That's where my steamroller frame came from.

I have to do pretty much the same thing (fork from a 62cm frame is going on a 60cm frame), will I be okay taking in just the fork? I could take in the old fork and the new fork and the shop could just match them up, is that right? It might be a pain in the neck to take the whole frame/fork combo in....

got the fork out, god damn the queen street car is HOPELESS..
the front end of the bike will drop over 12mm, equating to a head-angle that has increased ~0.7 degrees.. pushing things to a 74.x hta. w00t!

Great, thanks, I will do my best to remember to ask about the diameter of the crown race...I still don't know what headset I am going to use. I have an old 105 headset kicking around somewhere, I suppose that will do for a bit.
Did anyone watch Letterman on Friday? I have always loved the guy but that night brought a tear to my eye; here is the accompanying article from the Globe and Mail and the Youtube vids:

If you're using a different headset, then you might need more than just the fork to cut it to length.
I was able to use the 105 headset in the past, should I bring the headset with me too?

If you bring the headset and the length of your head tube you'll be good

Hey guys. I'm looking to buy a KHS Flite 100 sometime this month for my courier job. The cheapest price I've been able to find so far is about $650 at Europe Bound, on the '08 models. Does anyone know of any other stores in the GTA that have last year's Flites on sale? Just though I'd check before I laid down my cash.

boorens! i have to ream the inside of my steerer.........
Biseagal's work was top-shelf.. but we wrongfully assumed that the inside of the steerer would have been butted similarly to the original fork I was replacing... of which it was not, as the steerer was 20cm long.. the butting was tall..

At this time of the year shops will be looking to clear out the '08s, I would call around to some of the shops outside of the core, like up in North York or Richmond Hill. Fixed-gear bikes are available but rarely sold. I think Bayview Cycle is a KHS distributor; at least, they used to be....

In two years I've grease injected my Eggbeater SLs twice and overhauled them once. As of yesterday they could use a second overhaul (new bearings, etc.). The honeymoon is officially over, or rather, I may go back to Time ATACs in the spring.
ATACs may be heavy, but at least they last.

I still like the older style heavier ones. I won't use the new style fixed, not enough retention for me. The old style come up on CL fairly regularly. I have 3 sets now and figure I wont need pedals for at least 10 years. I paid $40 for my last pair in excellent condition.
