Alright!
Thanks guys!
I just wanted to get a rough estimate of what frame size I should be riding.
I rekon a 53ish would fit.
I've never actually bought myself a bike yet....
So I guess I really need to get down there and test fit one for myself
hurrah.

I guess the next question is,
does anyone have a frame they want to sell me
haha.
I think, if I don't get anything by the end of christmas, I'll just go out and get an IRO Mark V.
btw, are there any good deals on track / fixed bikes at the toronto spring bike show in the $1000 range?

I really would if I knew what I was doing.
To be honest, this would be my second... non super-cycle purchase aside from my rocky mountain MTB.
I have no tools at home, and no experience and no clue what parts I need to build up a fixxer.

Two suggestions:
- The "search" function on this site, as well as just browsing every thread that looks interesting.
- Sheldon effing Brown - https://sheldonbrown.com/fixed/index.html <- knows EVERYTHING.

definitely don't just jump into a purchase. if anything, you've got all winter to peruse and research before buying for the spring. don't give in to impulse!! ..it seems like you're in a rush for some reason. like i-float says, it's doubtful you won't have any questions unanswered between sheldonbrown and this site.
speaking about IROs.. i was at st.lawrence market on saturday and saw a white one locked up at the north entrance. i locked up next to it but it was gone when i came out. i think that's the first IRO i've seen in the city.

I need to start hitting the market. My friend lives just down the street and swears by it.. seems like a good excuse for a Saturday morning ride.

I'm not much help....I pretty much wander around there randomly, and buy whatever tickles my fancy. I've bought meat there a few times and it has always pretty good, compared to typical grocery store stuff. Cheese is always hit and miss-it's good if you go to a place where you can sample-like the one in kensington. Cheese is serious business....almost as serious as coffee.

do you guys go to the north building, or the south, or both?
I've only ever been in the south building. It's too meaty/stinky for my veggie gf.

Thanks
I'll go check it out.
I'm just thinking, would 52cm be a bit small?
anyways, I'm just wondering, would shipping a complete bike from US through UPS or anything else be worth it?

Snow + fixed gear = fun.
Toronto drivers + snow = amusing chaos.

do you guys just rock your slick skinnies in the winter? I've never ridden a road bike in the Winter before..
I wasn't feeling well this morning, so I jumped on the subway instead of riding.
