check out a system called lowjack for tracking it would be cheaper that the GPS

steeker: lowjack? unless you're carrying around a car battery that probably ain't gonna work so well. The problem with GPS is that unless you're actively watching the bike, or have software to track it constantly, it's easy to miss where it goes. All the thieves have to do is make sure the beacon doesn't have line-of-sight to the sky and it'll lose it's lock on the GPS satellites.

Why is it.....(I'm foolishly sure there is a reasonable answer) that the city sees the perfect time to go wash the incoming lanes of Queen East is about 7:45-8:00, just before rush hour? Nothing like a lovely sunny morning, 8 degrees and F U C K I N G more water on the ground than when we had our rain the other day. Had a grand pri(ck)x come spooky close to sliding into the back of me because of the damned water. Now this is also because of not following at a safe distance but that's a given.
