any snow in kingston?
The only thing i don’t like about it is my head dose not fill it out fully so it puckers at the seams a bit 4 panels on top. But it’s a one size & for 10.00 not bad. I like it.
Cheers
Only one snow fall so far lasted about a day & now the grass is green as ever I look out the window & think do I need to cut it. Ha ha

On the crazy driver tip... on my way home from work the other night I'm stopped at Richmond and Bathurst on the yellow waiting for the red to flip and watching the fancy new countdown to fun crosswalk sign... 3... 2... what the sh*t... a minivan jumps the south curb about five cars back and I guess realizing that he's in the wrong lane decides to rectify his poor planning by straddling the curb at top speed . Just as the green comes up and he enters the intersection, he makes a fast right cutting across both lanes of traffic. He continues full on with a slight fish tail north in the right hand turning lane cutting off everyone driving north. Insane.
All that holiday cheer has got people wound up pretty tight. It did strengthen my resolve to keep my earbuds out of my ears in the city.

Flour (seasoned flour) the meat and veg before searing. The flour will thicken the cooking liquid, making a mighty fine sauce. I like to sear the meat, remove it and sear the veg. Add 1 cup red wine or beer, reduce by 1/2, place meat back in and cover with water or stock. Boil, reduce heat to simmer and cook covered for about 2hours. Taste, season and watch the wifes eyes glaze as she tastes your meat.
Making venison stew myself for tonight. House smells wicked. Guiness adds the right touch to bambi platters
Edit: The roast, when she tastes the roast.

yeah, you got the idea with the pot roast; dredge in flour then brown on all sides then in the oven until it's done how you like it (rare). check with a thermometer to be sure. let it rest 10 min before cutting to retain juices. as for gravy, save the pan juice and add equal parts flour to however much fat is left in the pan. whisk until it's combined, remove that from the pan, deglaze with a little wine or stock and add the mix back to the pan, reduce a little and strain. skim off any fat, add salt as needed etc. easy as pie.

Whoever said today was gonna be crazy in the shops? I did my usual complete last minute shopping extravaganza in 3 hours this morning/afternoon. Even had time for a haircut. The core is dead. Good times!
