A righteous plan, says I.

TRaffic Jammer 03-01-06 04:00 PM

ok I totally know where that is...just never knew the name.
I may have to slip out for a patty and coco bread though...lol

operator 03-01-06 04:36 PM

Er what's the admission fee for teh show.

somnambulant 03-01-06 04:37 PM

sr20det 03-01-06 05:18 PM

operator 03-01-06 07:01 PM

:/

eyefloater 03-01-06 07:13 PM

I'm down w/ the meet-up at Moonbeam > bike show plan.

somnambulant 03-01-06 07:20 PM

what time at moonbeam? the show opens at 10am. I don't think it's necessary to be there too early though since it starts on Friday... it's not like we're rushing down to get first pick at the goods.. y'know? :) especially if anyone plans on trying to get some mad deals before closing at 6pm. I enjoyed watching the Metro Jam last year though, so I plan on spending some time doing that as well.

jet sanchEz 03-01-06 07:36 PM

13$?! Can we get a coupon up in this piece, son?

eyefloater 03-01-06 10:58 PM

I am so doing that at the shop next week.

sr20det 03-01-06 11:04 PM

eyefloater, were you looking for one of these?

eyefloater 03-01-06 11:08 PM

Yep, set a measly snipe on it ... didn't win. Gotta get the current one finished first, anyway. ;)

Edit: On a related note, that's the second aluminum Aerotrack frame / fork + headset, bb that I've seen go for $200 on eBay. If anyone else wants one, just cough up $215 in the last 5 seconds and it'll be all your's next time one comes up.

sr20det 03-01-06 11:18 PM

wonder why these aero tracks don't follow the current ebay trends for track bikes/parts.

eyefloater 03-01-06 11:38 PM

Few reasons:
- made by a boring U.S. company (ie. no classic Italian or Japanese NJS "cred")
- some models are aluminum
- limited size options
- sloping top tube
- toe overlap
- tig welded

I'm sure I could come up w/ some more reasons, but it's not really worth the effort. I'll spare you the boring story, but the KHS Aerotrack was the bike that got me interested in track bikes. Because of that I've always had an itch to find one for myself.

PS. Get your ass out to the bike show. I don't care if you're broke.

sr20det 03-01-06 11:41 PM

yes mother.

operator 03-02-06 12:23 AM

Lolol. It has a "steal" fork according to the auction.

Coco bread? Sounds interesting....

TRaffic Jammer 03-02-06 08:15 AM

it's near Patty King no?.. when there ...I must

What time at moonbeam? Sunday?

TRaffic Jammer 03-02-06 10:18 AM

I MAY have up to six passes for the bike show, I'll let you know later. Interested? A Kensington Market Breakfast smack down will commence at moonbeam.

somnambulant 03-02-06 10:21 AM

I'll buy you coffee in exchange for a pass if necessary. :)

ps. damn. I'm hungry and you said "breakfast". mmmm.. I could go for a big nasty breakfast right now. Chock full 'o vitamin G.

TRaffic Jammer 03-02-06 10:23 AM

Grease or Ganja....?
No need of favors for passes..... if I'm too get for free then I MUST pass them off for free, to do otherwise is simply bad juju. What's the lock up situation like at the show? Safe-ish or a full on street level shopping? Is moonbeam the place for a good greasy breakfast? I usually make it at home once a weekend. mmm Bacon, sausages, eggs, home fries, beans (i don't eat eggs so it's my substitute)..coffee and OJ

lol now how hungry are ya?

it's the fat pills of champions. that west indian bakery also makes a sweet potato bread that is just plain great. one piece and you'll be full for about a week.

what time are you all meeting to head down to the show? i may breakfast plans sunday morning, so if y'all aren't going too early maybe i'll join you. if you'll have me...

operator 03-02-06 10:38 AM

I'm coming down, but I have work to do after I meet you guys.
Anyone: Date and Time

TRaffic Jammer 03-02-06 10:40 AM

Spicy beef patty and coco bread mmmmmm awesome...now I'm getting hungry.
First come first served on these passes, I'd like to get' em first lest I disappoint you lads. Unless of course we can read some awful pathetic stories as to why someone should save a pass. Time I don;t know yet I'm pretty flexible as getting out without the wife and the kids is pretty exciting to begin with...lol (You KNOW I love ya honey).

All I need is a cuppa coffee or two and a smoke (tis the week-end after all)
and I'm good to go. I'm riding in from Leslie/Queen. Unless reports are no joy on the lock up situation. Last thing I can afford is having the ride shopped on.lol
