I owe fedex some money for duties/brokerage but I was waiting to see what would happen if I just didn't pay the gouging bastards since I already have the item in hand. They should have forced COD like they usually do but I guess they were too lazy this time. I'll probably just end up sending them a cheque but damn I hate when they piss all over you and give you random and completely unpredictable charges every time you use them. It seems criminal.
So I says to Mable I says

You can't avoid FedEx's absurd brokerage fees if you value your credit rating. They'll go after you aggressively if your account goes to collections. Their brokerage fees are standard policy, so it's not exactly "criminal." Only use CanPost service whenever possible ($5 flat brokerage fee).
I just got my order from Probikekit - $45 duty on a $120 order. Worse yet, the order was from a gift certificate I got for Christmas. They packed my stuff in a blue plastic bag (WTF?) and it arrived in terrible shape, with the bar tape unraveled and kinked. All the other parts arrived in cheap little bags without the box. Unbelievable. I'm only ordering from the US from now on.

steeker: if by "replacing" you mean pickup, then no, i haven't had time to drop by cavern in the morning to pick up my beater. my sannino won't come out until it's well into the nba playoffs. it replaced the fuji that was stolen. trying to track down some curved-no-rise nitto promenades for the beater... might be forced to go online fo' dat.

And I do apologize for the weather, I took the Ciocc of the rack today and, you know, it's like washing your car.
