Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thought we were naming it with a big 5-0? Ah well. Hill climbing workout this morning... there is a 0.0% chance of me dropping my buddy this time.

Just back from a run. Did I miss anything??

BTW I have doubled my typical run length in the past 6 weeks. That's the good news. The bad news is that is from 2 to 4 miles. I need a couple more doubling periods before I can be satisfied.

66° this AM but supposed to hit 90°. How does that work? Anyway, should be an interesting group ride this morning.

Morning rain cancelled another ride. I'm beginning to grow webbed feet.

I wonder if the Addiction XXX version needed a lot of censoring....

I should get to work, but I'm feeling lazy. I'm putting together a present for a friend and I need to get it done for later today. It's canvas print (that's all done, thankfully, and turned out pretty well), but I still need to get out to the shop to slap together an appropriate frame for it. Glue and wood shavings are in my future... after scones and more coffee.

Home done photographic print on canvas or mail order?

I recall no such conclusion, only vicious anti-running libel. Did get August started the right way:

Are you old enough to be having memory issues? Even I, old fart that I am, can easily recall datlas has conclusively determined that running is stupid. Many times. I would opine that he is quite brilliant to have made that decision, but he keeps on running. Catch-22!

Mail order. I mentioned it to Humbug, but you'd probably be interested/amused, too - I'm on a Photobucket mailing list (I have an account, but primarily use Flickr) and they sent me a notice on a print special: 16 * 24 canvas print for $30. Since they're typically $120 in that size, I thought that it was a great deal and placed an order for three prints. While double-checking my shopping cart, I noticed a promo code for 78% off. I didn't expect that they would stack, but I popped it in anyway. Holy **** - it worked. I ended up getting the prints for under $7 each, plus $8 shipping, each.

indeed. So they matched your expectations for appearance - color, brightness, contrast - pretty well?
