Yep. Me too.

I've never gotten a flu shot.

Me neither. I reckon I should when I'm old and infirm.

Wonder if it's harder on you if you get your first one at the age of 60

Just starting lighting quite a bit here. Only a light rain though. Supposed to go all night and switch to a snow mix at some point. Going to hit 40 tomorrow though so shouldn't be any accumulation.

Yeah, the conditions here have been brutal, as well. Temps dipping into the low 40s, TWO rain showers in the past 15 days. Maybe I'll buy some rollers.

We're supposed to be over 40 tomorrow, too. 40+mph winds, that is.

Who is Hbrown a sock puppet of?

RPK79 11-11-15 03:57 PM

I just got trolled in the Mechanics sub-forum. I didn't know they had trolls living there.

Ive been getting them for the last 6 years or so. Not only have I not gotten any flu, but I had just a single common cold in that time, and that was this past spring during one of their least effective vaccines.

I'm sold on flu shots. :thumb:

I don't know. It's been demonstrated time and again that the users are the best sock sniffers. Botto used to sniff 'em out with deadly accuracy.

We had a few special guests on today's club ride...riders who were off for Veteran's Day. One works for the Feds, one works for a bank, and one works for Amtrak. Plus a bunch of the "usual suspects" made for a fun ride. Roads were still wet from the overnight rain, which actually helped keep the pace civilized. Beautiful fall scenery in western Chester County, PA. I love the smell of rotting leaves in the fall!

I've never weighed my shoes.

Today is the first day in eons I've worn fancy clickety bike shoes.

Happy Veteran's day!

Had off for Veterans Day, so went for a solo 60 miles. Thought about adding a few miles to it to call it a metric century, but I'm not that anal. Started in the mid 60's and warmed up to around 80. Gorgeous day to ride and wanted to keep going, but needed to do some yard work. Feel refreshed after a long nap.

...there are a couple who show up now and again. They usually jump in when youi just give some poor newb a straight answer in one or two sentences, then pounce, telling you and everyone who will listen why that's the worst advice they ever read, and you forgot about condition Q, and why didn't you mention spoke tensions ? Often it is the case that none of those apply.

If you cannot tell, I hardly ever post in there any more. :)

Good time to get in some crosswind practice with the deep sections...
