When I got my last phone HTC had just come out with a WP. I decided to go with the droid instead of Win. My next phone may very well be Win.

I used to have a Blackberry, but Virgin Mobile seemingly cut the data speeds for the Blackberry users. My wife would have great speeds and mine would be at a crawl over the same network.
They also had a separate customer service department for Blackberry only. I think they were desperate to eliminate all the overhead so they pushed out the users by making the service to them horrible.

One of our local club members is moving to DC and we are having a little farewell party for him after tomorrow's ride.
It was suggested I bring something to drink. I know very little about alcohol, but when I went to the beer store I saw some "Fat Tire Beer" which seemed cycling themed (not road oriented, but close enough) so I got a 12-pack of that.
Did I choose well??

Wait a minute. What are you saying and what does it mean? I wore a horizontally striped orange and cream tank top yesterday and IIRC I even wore it while riding my bike. I was also wearing cut-offs, had on a turquoise cross-body bag that was fake alligator- from a thrift store- and was rocking cheetah-printed Vans. Am I a hipster?

I have five left. Finals tonight, then Prelims and Finals Saturday and Sunday.
By the book, I am evaluated over three sessions. However, evaluators tend to look at all of the session that I work. One of my partners who is also doing the same evaluation that I am is not doing so well. It's good to have someone to make you look better. It's kind of like being in a Crit with Pepe. You know he will get pulled on the fourth lap, so you won't come in last place.

Oh yeah - another +1 on the Fat Tire. I have a few bottles of it in the 'fridge right now. Dunno why, but I'm all IPA'd out - it's been giving me headaches lately. Chainbreaker, also from New Belgium, is also pretty tasty.

My LAM (Local Asian Market) didn't have individual packs of Shin Black ramen, so I bought a 5-pack. I'm a little concerned that I might opt to have ramen for lunch each of the next five days.

Also, took my stock wheel to the LBS and they told me they can't convert it to 11-speed. Guess I'll need a new wheelset (or just stick to my current one and hope I never need a backup.)

Casually Deliberate
You'll be okay. Portland is a city which sustains itself on ramen, coffee, gourmet ice cream, and microbrewed beer.

This. 3 of them appear to be on this site. Well, all 4, as Mrs. LAJ also has a Windows Phone. I'm good with it, and most apps I want have some derivation to work on this phone. I still have the Lumia phone, from last year, because the camera does rock. This HTC is so-so, but works OK.
Edit: Ok, so we're over the four just in this thread.

Honestly, the strangest thing for me was the security check in. Holy hell. Because I had never flown post Sep. 11, 2001, I didn't know how crazy it had gotten. I only knew what I read in news reports whenever they increased security regulations. I remembered when one guy tried to blow up a plane with a bomb in his shoe, so suddenly you had to take your shoes off. For some reason, I just assumed they did that for a short while and it wasn't a thing anymore. But there I was, waiting in line and everyone was taking off their shoes, belts, everything. I had to look around a few times just to make sure it was ok to wear my glasses in the scan booth thing. I didn't even bother carrying soap, etc. Just used the hotel stuff for that.
And yeah, the body scanners. You just don't feel like a free person when you go through that.
My co-worker flew on vacation recently and mistakenly left his ID in his back pocket. They asked him if he had anything in his pockets and he said no. So they did the scan and he got flagged for a full body pat down due to having his license in his back pocket.
On the plus side, it was nice to confirm the hardware in my left knee does not pick up on scanners. Also good to know that I am not on the no fly list.
All in all, it was a really pleasant experience. I got lucky in terms of easy baggage claims and no chatty neighbors. I was smart to load up my phone with some TV and movie stuff because the on-flight wifi was expensive and didn't allow streaming services anyway.

This (and the not-so-occasional Krystal burger) is why I'm fat.

^^^^ I can't say that I recall having seen it in the liquor stores, but I'll keep an eye out and give it a whirl.

Vain, But Lacking Talent
So yeah, looks like I picked the wrong time of year to look at a Fargo. New stuff is just around the corner and I'm not sold on the multiple wheel option platform (and apparently belt drive capability) for the same reasons I don't like bikes with both cantilever and disc mounts.
They have the cheapest model on the floor, but it has a steel fork, I'm not into the color and the wheels are not tubeless ready which seems insane for the application. I could rebuild the wheels (I need to do a dynamo hub anyway) and get a carbon fork down the line. It could work. Still, I can't seem to get excited about it.
The next model up and the one I really like is sold out, so it's unlikely I can find one.
The most expensive model is black, which is kind of blah, and it has a suspension fork. I could sell the fork and get a carbon fork to replace it. But I really don't want another black bike.
