Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Also, tend to list to the right when I walk. Have to keep correcting.

I gotta say....having followed your cat induced travails, you're a far better mental and physical come back old guy than I would be under those circumstances.

I am still best friends with folks I first met at age 4 in nursery school. Even have the class photos to prove it.

Could you ask him to get my daughters iPhone while he is at it?

Threefold. First my capital one texts me any time my card is authorized. Second ebay emailed me the confirmations. Third capital one emailed a fraud alert due to suspicious activity.

More cuties. Beautiful kids @jtaylor996

I won't be posting my kiddo's first day of school since it was 2 weeks ago and we've already had to get into it with her about homework.

So my homegrown Habaneros came in. Ended up with about a gallon of peppers from a single plant. And it is flowering again.

So instead of dehydrating, I'm making my first attempt at homemade hot sauce. The house smells SOOOO good.

I'm not conforming to the peer pressure, either.

So, I did the du.

Ended up at 152nd place out of 390. So no podium. 2:07:39 was my overall time which I'm happy with even though I was shooting for a sub 2 hr. I finished strong in the cycling portion with a 19.1 average over the 17 miles which put me in 78th for that segment of the race. Unfortunately I'm a slow runner even though I put out 5k times I was quite happy with, including my fastest 5k to date on the first run. I actually feel I could have done a lot better in the bike portion, but after a month off the bike my legs were giving out on me fairly early on and by the end were worthless lumps.
