Food is sustenance and the basis of our great rides. It is right that we should talk about food.

Besides, don't they have threads specifically devoted to your monumental race results . . . .

I work in Tech. You are wise to be "shy."

Not at all. You are a perfect fit. You are the guy helping the rest of us to pay for our prescriptions. Risk sharing and all that stuff. Bravo.

Eat to ride. Ride to eat.

Temperature and humidity have gotten to where the Headsweats is back in order. I hate wearing that thing but it sure works well.

Four small incisions on my belly, so the robot could sink it's tentacles into me.

You assume I'm paying taxes and insurance premiums.

But I haven't released my returns. You'll never be able to verify one way or another. Just sayin'.

I almost ran out of water on a ride the other day - I'm going to have to start carrying two bottles again soon.

Scarbo 04-17-17 07:41 AM

Speaking of returns, I think that is why I inadvertently blurted out the results of the Amstel Gold yesterday on here--I was multitasking, watching the race and finishing up my taxes.

That's about my extent, too. I already felt like I was missing out when the doctors ask me about the medications I'm on and now Addiction is piling on. :(

I think my anesthesiologist enjoyed having a break from factoring in a drug cocktail.

Let's just say the generic you, not necessarily the specific you.

I see what you did there :thumb:

My exclusive patent expired 11 years ago, so there are many generic Dans out there now :(

Trsnrtr 04-17-17 07:52 AM

My prescriptions are down. Seems odd that as you get older that you'd need less but that's the way it's been going.

I wear one every time I ride, in part to keep the sun off my baldness, but also to keep the sweat off my glasses. I've found that if I roll it up in front it acts like a rain gutter.

First, let me tell you about the post ride meal.

Zesty Italian infused torn lettuce, with purple cabbage, a rainbow array of bell peppers, a delicious assortment of cherry tomatoes, topped with a few ounces of cubed turkey breast.

This was followed by a baked sweet potato with some butter and brown sugar generously mixed in. That is my guilty pleasure, but of course, it's also Indy and Georgia-Mae's, as well. They see me mixing it up, and can barely contain themselves.

Desert was a glob-o-jello.

Ok but what happened between the broken TT bike and the gob of jello?

I can tell you're trying to build dramatic tension. Excellent rhetorical device. ;)

I have no prescriptions, but I start my day with a Beet'Ums, as eating beet supplements with a "dirty mouth" is the preferred method. It seems the bacteria in the mouth in the am helps the beets activate their wonderful goodness. A couple scoops of Power Beets with water to wash down the Ultra Omega 3 fish oil capsules, along with my multi-vitamin, calcium, aspirin and folic acid tab. I am looking at a little amino acid action just to see.

Why don't you just eat beets? They're good.

If it's any consolation, my LDL and HDL ratio isn't that great.

I have a confession: I have never eaten an entire chocolate chip cookie. I don't like the taste of chocolate unless it's really sweet. Something like a Snickers bar is my limit. Got left out of a lot of cake eating at birthday parties when I was a kid.

My 3 yr old is like that. I think it may pass, she's just really stubborn. She swears when she turns 4 she'll like chocolate, though.
