I achieved a similar sort of built with a mid-eighties mountainbike. It wasn't heavy enough so I added a Sturmey-Archer combined dynohub and 90mm drum brake. It is not a light bike. It does ride not bad, it's just slow.

I expect that you are not in it for the speed.

Now you've got me thinking that I should pull a Razor and put in a BF name change request to switch to 'BillyOh!'

Or maybe not.

There was a time when folks like you would have been hunted down as wizards. I would keep it quiet if I were you.

I was perfecting the art of making an entrance. We were boarding the boat, I was one of the last ones on, and I was saying hi and going to hug the groom's mom who I hadn't seen in a few years when I slipped on the wet step. Literally 30 people were watching.

I laughed it off but was secretly dying inside and had a grapefruit sized welt.

Yes. An unbeatable combination with black beans, though they are normally served with rice.

I posted that last year.

I'm on four Rxs for inflammation and one for side effects. That's got to put me on the podium, right?

Reciting my medication list at the doctor's office is all the evidence they need I am not yet slipping into dementia. If I can remember all that, they don't get too worried.

You're living proof of "better living through chemicals". ;)

For some reason (probably worrying about this job situation), I couldn't sleep last night. Maybe got 2 hours. I got out on the road by about 6:15 for a ride this morning, assuming I'd feel like crap from too much coffee and no sleep. I actually felt great. Funny how the body works sometimes.

I got called in to work for an emergency and wound up getting home at 5am, total of 2 hrs sleep. I was planning on a group ride at 8am, decided to bail. But then when I couldn't sleep anyway, went out and rode & had a great ride....

Lol my first double century I rode on 3hrs sleep. The life lesson there is: if you have friends who live near the ride start, you might be better off declining their kind invite to host you the night prior.

I had these just with rice and fish and I thought they were really good--nothing fancy, though.

And, if you grow them in the home garden, you can still have those old strains, and many more. Bananas are hands down my favorite thing to grow. You can have bananas which have bb sized hard seeds inside.

How large was your incision?

Dan333SP 04-17-17 07:17 AM

I sometimes take advil, that's the extent of my annual pill popping. I guess I'm not a good fit for this thread.

The varieties of bananas that I've seen in Mexico don't at all resemble the Cavendish that you see in stores in the US. These were much smaller, usually fatter, and not always strictly yellow.

I followed you on Strava after getting a notice that I had a new follower. When I got the notice, I thought, who the heck is this guy?:foo:

I figured it out, finally.

That's about my extent, too. I already felt like I was missing out when the doctors ask me about the medications I'm on and now Addiction is piling on. :(

seedsbelize 04-17-17 07:24 AM

I have beans with fried plantain, specifically to cut the sweet. And sometimes the grease. When I make them at home, of course, they are non-greasy.

Last I heard, they were worth $1/Mg on the street. Possibly more now. Maybe you could earn enough for a new set of Zipp wheels.
