"Ears lanced"? Is that what they did before tubes became a thing? I had tubes 5 or 6 times as a kid and just last year had the same eardrum rupture twice due to infections. I guess I have ****ty Eustachian tubes.

Hey Robert - this is the kind of ridiculous arguing that people find irritating. Arguing for the sake of arguing. Just thought you should know, but you already know.

It is. It's our volunteer race, so I'll be checking folks in.

You think it will go? How will anyone get up the hill with all the slop? Not sure how it is at home, but downtown it's been pouring on and off all day. I thought it's supposed to get worse.

Seriously- get an MTB. You have a nice Synapse, right? That thing is way over the top for your current needs.

Yeahhhh I'll get an MTB relax relax. You're supposed to just look cool at this right?

Come on. No one actually wants 112A. Especially when it's humid.

I'd go through 3 large bottles in 30 minutes if I had to ride in that soup.

Velo Vol does 2-hour rides without water. Water's just too damn heavy! :)

Oooh, 2-mile stretch of dirt road. Yeah, that could get little sticky.

It's about how good you look, not how fast you go. :roflmao2:

CL MTB sellers in Dallas are super high, did they legalize weed there or somethin?

HKeK for $400, with non-orig, too short fork??? Nope.

I can't remember if it was Codeine or Vicodin, but one of them gave me a splitting headache, which seemed to be at odds with what it was supposed to do.

The question is the relative analgesic potency vs. the relative addictive potency. There doesn't seem to be a good handle on that.

The only point I am trying to make is that I believe people are behaving differently more than the drugs are different or their availability is different.

RE: opioids... we have an entire team of nurses here that spend all day reviewing scripts and pain management doctor's treatment plans to ensure they're at least trying to ween people off these things. The whole subjective pain scale thing is a disaster, opioids are way over-prescribed and they are super additive.

I don't really know what to say, when asked to rate my pain. I mean, I guess that time I got the compression fracture was probably a 10.

I don't know about riding in it but I could for a snooze in the hammock there.

My boy's friend, the one that we were supposed to meet up with in VA, he's *always* getting sick and he's always got some **** going on with tubes and ear infections. You two should start a club. He's 6, so I'm sure you'll find common ground. :p

It's been postponed for three hours, and if it stops soon enough, the sun will dry the hill.

What are the approved reasons for arguing and how do you determine which one is operating in a given situation?

It's funny reading doctor's dictations sometimes. Someone may say they're an 8 or 9/10 with a sprained wrist. The doctor will remind them that a 9 is childbirth and a 10 would be like having a limb amputated traumatically. You know, basically telling them that they're being absurd. They still say their sprained wrist is an 8 or 9.
