One day.

What you don't have $2k on the sidelines for a new bike every 4-6 months?

Can confirm- I've had my Madone for almost 5 years now. Literally everyone else I ride with regularly has changed bikes at least once in that time. She's still going strong.

And there you have it. It's time to upgrade the Trek.

Trek to Time is a substantial upgrade.

sbxx1985 04-28-17 11:02 AM

R&A sold almost all the larges. No more larges in the black or white/black. Good for me. Time to move on (SWIDT).

I do appreciate how covert Pace was - no visit to Halas Hall, no workout, no communication.

Apparently they did work him out. Privately and asked him not to tell. He didn't. That's cool.

As a pretty diehard Bears fan (sbxx1985), and after extensive review of the news out of Chicago, I like the Trubisky move. Chiefs and Texans both gave up 2018 1st round picks to move up for Mahomes and Watson. The market for a potential down-the-road franchise QB was set. Interesting pre draft article from Chicago.

Reported for inciting impulse purchasing.

Yes, coming from the guy that told Rpen to buy $14,000 worth of camera gear he doesn't need this morning.

Trek keeps sending me emails reminding me that "Spring is Fork Replacement time!", but I'm waiting until I hear some crunching from it before I swap in a new one.

It's probably the last NOS lifetime warrantied red frame available anywhere in the world. And it's discounted by $3200.

You deserve it, new job and all.

Not bad.

Two sentences without a verb.

SAD!

Expecting 5" of snow tonight. Smart of me to dewinterize the trailer.

Please give us updates on what you're eating during the ride.

Dan333SP 04-28-17 12:19 PM

Well, I've been avoiding it all day, but it's time to go have "the talk" with my current boss. Hopefully this is amicable.

That answers a lot of questions.

I was thinking maybe I should post a thread with a poll, and go by what the majority suggests.

Currently the cupboard has those fig bars (look like giant fig newtons) so I will bring 3 of them and probably a couple sleeves of Shot Bloks for the last 25 miles.

If you haven't carb-loaded at least 14 pounds of pasta today, you may as well just stay home.

Dan333SP 04-28-17 12:29 PM

ProTip: Freeze the fig bars. Maybe it's just me but I love those things when they're in the process of thawing out. Cold and tasty, nice for hot rides.

Maybe just 11 pounds, as you're pretty svelte.
