Hey, Seeds, it's a '78 or '79 frame. You steel Luddite guys should be thrilled!

I know I am. I have a '78 frame set out on the porch that I can't bring myself to part with. The first model Schwinn imported from Giant. My '72 is the first model they inported from Panasonic. So a matched set. Neither of them have the S word anywhere on the bike. The '78 is what brought me to BF. It took four months to positively track down its provenance.

Check out the thread description:

PCad's Kingdom: Mount Doom PCad's Pay Per View channel. He'll let you put it on account, though........
What happened to those?

seedsbelize 04-30-17 10:36 AM

My wife sent me out on my bike, for limes. She told me it would get my juices flowing. It did, and then she gave me two pictures to hang, as she was leaving for a beach day with her girlfriends. The young man I built the bike for dropped by just as I was returning from the test ride. He took it out on the same course and got a flat. I'll go ahead and fix that while the sap is still high, and then settle in for a cycling documentary or two.

That references back to one of the first posts on the "Go ahead ask Pcad anything" thread.

I bet seedsbelize hasn't even seen that treasure trove.

seedsbelize 04-30-17 10:42 AM

I just successfully posted in that thread. Time warp time.

seedsbelize 04-30-17 10:44 AM

And somebody posted behind me.

However it may be where it is because of it's size. Just as I remembered, Addiction I was just a warm up for Addiction II which reached over 50 thousand posts, an average of 13k posts per month, 425 posts and 17 pages per day. Just crazy!

Forgot to mention one frequently overlooked statistic, Addiction II had over one million views. Compare that to contemporary threads.

It's locked! I wanted to post in my zombie thread. :crash:

Advanced search. Searched on "addiction" "titles only". Went to the last page of results, since results are listed by newest first. Easy peasy.

Sorry Seeds and Vol, that's a zombie thread that should remain locked as a historical milestone, just like all the Addiction threads are locked. Hope you don't mind. :(

I did that last night, it wasn't there. The search hamster must have been tired last night, because I too have found it in the past.

Faster than the last one (pace) on a harder, longer (TWSS) course. But I fell again, so my hands are bandaged (again) and I think I'm done with this trail running nonsense - too slow, too much risk of falling, not applicable enough to road running. Will just go run Town Lake doubles on the weekend for now.

He was wearing a pair of newish Sidis. He complained that they moved around too much, compared to his old straps. I looked at his feet. His new shoes seemed like they were a bit too large.

How about apologizing to me as it's my thread?

Fixed. :D

Just be happy it's considered a historical milestone.

Time travel is my lifelong goal. I had it momentarily, before it was snatched away.

I see the Texans got a good QB prospect, Watson from Clemson. Finally.

rpenmanparker 04-30-17 11:51 AM

Dennis T, where did the painter get the decals for the Motta?

That's may thought, too. I've seen polished parts in the C&V section and they don't look like what I remember - too shiny. Campy hubs were always shiny but it seems like the other parts of that era were more of a satiny look. Later Campy groups were highly polished.

I bought them for him at VeloCals bicycle decals - Quality, Durable, Ultra-thin

I wish that I had a pic of my original Motta that I purchased in 1984. It was all Super Record and the frame was GM's Italian tricolor. I won several races on it before I got sponsored and had to ride team bikes. By the time I retired from racing, my Motta's parts had been by-passed by time and the frame was tired. I had it repainted and rode it a little bit until it developed a crack at the BB-ST junction. I don't even know what happened to it. :(

f4rrest 04-30-17 12:18 PM

Purty.

And no runs!

"Prospect". No one considers him a "win-now" QB, and the rest of the team is "win-now".

Of course, there aren't many real options when you need a "win-now" QB. Probably someone drafted this year will do pretty well, but I don't think anyone honestly knows which.

Bah Humbug 04-30-17 12:21 PM

Oh, and the site had SUVs park in the ditch. Which was fun. Actually just about as deep as the GX could handle - exhaust almost got hit. And that would have seriously annoyed me.
