Seeing that in print clicked the button on the file where my feelings about successful marriage are stored, and I shared an idea. What exactly is the problem?

Facepalm. You posted it in reply to him.

Your observation may or may not be a good one (I've no marriage experience so I don't know). But it came across as you giving advice for Dan's problem which (to my reading) wasn't even disclosed. It might be something completely different.

Don't see any drainage holes. What's a sawzall?

Possibly. Sure sounds like it.

Aero testing is a go. June 17.

:)

Velodrome? Road? Wind tunnel?

Then I'd try to flood it out. Or maybe smoke - yeah, smoke it out.

I've got a sawzall. Bring them over, I'll fix them right up.

There should be a couple of small (5mm-ish) holes in the carbon just above the rim bed. This allows water to be thrown out by the rotation of the wheels, after it get in through the nipples or wherever.

Keep that thing off my wheels. :D

Can't see any holes. Would they be hidden by the tire? Because I am not removing the tires (tubulars.) Also, it sounds solid I think, not water. And it is in both wheels. :(

You ruined my expert assistance.

Save your face palm. Did you miss where I specifically said my reply was not to be construed as relating to Dan's issue? And for good reason. That is because I can't remember what his issue is. I was simply prompted by his conclusion to give some marginally related advice. Why do you (plural) have to make this such a drama?

No... on AG's HEDs they're right behind where the carbon fairing meets the aluminum clincher bed. It's possible your wheels don't have them, I suppose, but it would be surprising. And yes, I figured you got solids in somehow - figured it must be some fine gravel that somehow bounced perfectly in. Which is also why it's not just flying back out like it should. A quick Google says they may be a HED thing:

Air.

Bike pump.

Presta valve.

Lure it out with a piece of cheese.

Speaking of antsy, our kitchen has been invaded by small ants.

I bought some ant killer that is attracting them by the score. It's supposed to kill the entire colony, but after 2 days they just keep coming for more. Does anyone know how long this is supposed to take before they all go away??

Velodrome. I was holding out for the road aero testing to become available. But it is not yet ready for prime time. So I'm biting the bullet and doing it on the track. I want time to adapt to whatever changes I make before TT season starts again in Sept.

This is a link to the site: https://ero-sports.com

My fitter is Jim Manton, the guy who started Ero Sports. Haha I started going to him when I had a $600 road bike. I had no idea who he was or how out-classed I was. He is such a good guy though, the first person who ever took me seriously on a bike. $600 bike notwithstanding. Has been hugely influential for me, I just really like seeing him and interacting with him. It's always fascinating.

:)

Okay, change of topic, serious question. Does anyone know what a talking head on a cable news show panel is paid per appearance? Is there a scale related to resume? Just wondering.

rpenmanparker 05-16-17 05:37 PM

On the subject of something rattling around in carbon wheels, there are two really likely possibilities. I Inhad built them, it could be a lost nipple. :innocent: Otherwise it could be a piece of cured epoxy resin or a scrap of resin/carbon fiber that broke loose on the inside. Some rims are built more neatly than others.

Your agent should know.
