Sweet, having fun while fully kitted and acting like a wannabe. :)

I had a TT workout that started at 4:25am. I just threw it out there, anyone wanna join?

Haha six friends showed up. That is crazy.

Missed two of my three interval targets (they were hard ones) which always frustrates me. Maybe still residually sore from a strength/core workout on Monday but mostly I missed because on some of the intervals I was on a slight downhill grade (1-2%) and I got going pretty fast & couldn't really keep an eye on the power display on the bike computer.

Whatever, I have a JRA on the TT bike on Sat, I'll pop those intervals off then and get the check in the box.

Coffee afterward, it was a fun morning.

Work dinners tonight & tomorrow, so I'll be getting home late each night. But we're still gonna do something climby before dawn tomorrow. Probably not seven of us though.

Trying to decide whether to commit to Sunday's fun club ride up in Santa Barbara. It's about an hour drive each way and for me a 2 hour climb up Gibraltar Rd to La Cumbre peak. I'll be dropped for sure but no biggie I've done the climb a couple of times before and am comfortable with doing it solo. And I like everyone going. And I love the route. But I'm on call Sat and working Fri this week. So it's a lot to squeeze in.

I'm leaning towards it though. Maybe f4rrest wants to join???

4:25 am? Serious cyclist alert!

I woke up at 5:30 as usual but decided not to ride because I am lazy/not a serious cyclist.

In other news, Ms. M comes back from France tonight. :)

I prefer my socks to have a 3" cuff. No tall socks for me.

But what if the tire labels don't line up with the valve stems?

That's a personal choice. I find it easier to track down that little staple or goathead thorn when I do.

Don't blame the steel, blame the 300k.

Anyone have a 20 or 25% off coup for Rapha. Wanna grab a flyweight jersey I'm dying outside in regular style jersey. Somehow I'm not in their mailing list anymore... what the heck.

Hah! In previous years, I have done that ride in 12 hours. The weather turned wonderful on that day, and it still took me 14 hours. I was ready to step in front of a train.

Exactly. Steel was your best choice for that distance.

300 k in 12 hours? Kudos.
