Don't be too jealous. I only take one vacation a year, so I try to make it a good one.

Mrs datlas and I are going to the Picasso museum tomorrow. Kids are not interested. Later in the day we say bye to Barcelona after six days and head an hour South to Tarragona. Prolly no cycling. They supposedly have fantastic Roman ruins there, and if we get bored, the beach on the Mediterranean is supposedly quite good too. Stay tuned.

Picasso museum is lovely as is the Miro.

Good ride today. Plenty of wildlife. I spotted a ton of Quail (all the baby quail are really young, so ****z out behind the moms instead of following in straight lines), a roadrunner AND coyote.

Ran out of water, since my 100 oz bladder sprung a leak I tried to make do with a 64 oz bladder + 21oz bottle. Ran out about 6 miles from home :(

That could prove fatal in 120*.

Luckily it was still only 99° when I got home.

Super cool, and young Doge had a great time up that pesky hill. I hope you had fun, and the traffic wasn't too bad on the way home.

For whatever reason, I like that climb and race, though I don't do well at all on it.

I didn't have this picture to show why else I like Guanella Pass. this was a lower alcohol high altitude (so wort boils at 190 deg) Rye IPA.

You pick your tap beer, they can it for you. Done at Pikes Peak brewery and I expect other places.

Too bad I don't really have a bike that it would go with. This one is available over in CA, though...

Isn't an owl a bird?

I dove straight into that one.

RollCNY, in the house!

Crazy day today. People from Kansas City come in with a little paralyzed dog. They are here in LA visiting their daughter's specialist in the rare mitochondrial disease she has, they come here once a year. No pressure, the dog is her service dog and he's trained to detect low blood sugar so that they can intervene before she has a seizure.

However surgery went really well.

RollCNY 06-21-17 06:57 PM

Hey there, stranger. For a few minutes, sure, I am in the house. White bike is done. I have to figure out how to get phone pics into my Flicker, so I can post up shots. It is riding well, and I have been riding again, so things are decent.

New job has me working from 5 am to 7:30 pm every day. I like the company, and the guys I work for, but holy cow is this draining. It has me to the point that I am contemplating temporary unemployment to enjoy the youngest's last summer in high school.

Hope all is well with everyone.

I remember in the 80s when Davidsons were sought after. Nice frames.

Depends on the plane. Apparently Bombadier planes have a max operating temperature of 49°C.

Velo Vol discovered that earlier. I don't think he got any answers.
