Is one a cousin, niece, or other relative? Seems like I saw that mentioned once.

I feel good about it. It's basically the same trade as this time last year, minus one ACL and with a high pick to draft a tall Finn. Butler's worth was the highest it could be and he couldn't co-exist with Gar/Pax and Fred Holberg. It's good and time to rebuild.

I bought the Cinelli Zydeco frameset from wrenchscience for $725. Fairwheel is building some sweet hoops for it - Easton R90 SL disc clinchers with DT350s and CX Rays. Those guys as great. They gave me $150 off the wheels because I asked. Birthday/Christmas will hopefully bring the Campy Potenza disc group so I can finish it off.

I'll post some pics when I get unburied. Hope all is well in Addiction.

I like the addition of Butler, but I'm going to miss Lavine - crazy athletic and was developing in to a great scorer, beyond the arc and finishing at the rim - so fun to watch.

Now's your chance to even out the cyclist tan ;)

Really nice pics from your trip. :thumb:

As for Horton's, they're all over the place here and just crap.

Zackly!

In general, donuts are just better in America's City (tm). I consider even shipley's to be junk quality (I have a friend who has a franchise). But the best around here are Sara donuts. I don't think it's a franchise, but there are 3-4 locations around here that are beyond amazing. Nothing like fancy donuts.

My personal fav are the strawberry shortcake donuts:

More yumminess. We can't just TALK about donuts. That's not mouth wattering enough:

More donut porn here:

Fancy donuts are an abomination. Glazed, raised is the benchmark for all donuts. Or for the cake lovers, the sugared or iced plain cake (with cardamom in the dough of course). A few variations make sense like jelly and custard, but loading up the top of a donut with crap or making a sandwich out of it is just criminal. At a quality place the base donuts are better than anything at a fancy place. Voodoo in Portland is a good example a lot of nothing blown up into a fad. Just plain stupid.

Don't hate the players. Hate the game.

Well, the plain glazed are the best at this place, too. Waaayy better than shipley's.

We are in the unfortunate position of babysitting the HVAC folks at my MIL's in NOLA while they install a new system for her. Fortunately not TOO hot today, but this is taking way too long. I am wondering whether they are just up in the attic playing cards... Air conditioner was 17 years old. Furnace was 25 years old. But let me tell you a 95 year old does not like to spend that kind of money, nosiree. She has been walking around the house all day muttering under her breath about it.

Correct - because a place serves fanciful donuts does not mean that they don't start off with a good base. My favorite shop in Mpls also does a mean raised glazed but my personal favorite of theirs is a donut with a bourbon chocolate filling, chocolate icing and a couple of tiny brownies on top. Mmmmm.

Nothing like the feel of good bike ride, after a few off-beat ones.:)

It's Friday. Boozin and cruisin' today. Saturday AND Sunday I am blessed to go to Austin to visit a friend and do some roadie cyclin Sat Night and all day Sunday. Going to see how fit he is on the bike (he's a runner) but has been doing some cycling... A nice 50-60 miles would be legit.

I think that the name is horrible, but I haven't tried any of their product. The fact that I've only seen them in suburban strip malls doesn't make me too optimistic, though.

I think we have one here. I didn't know there was more than one though. They hosted a photog exhibit once with some of my Wife's pics in it. Also I went to a catered thing there that was very nice. I have never had their cakes.

My take is a little silly but not too bad.

That's Joy, my niece. She is my wife's sister's daughter. She is a senior at Rutgers. Two daughters are enough.

You should tell her that just because it's not 50 degrees inside her house when it's 94 or whatever outside, that's no excuse. She should be in the kitchen cooking. HTFU. :D

QFT! Seriously, first ride in a long time that my legs haven't ached and I haven't coughed up a bucket of phlegm. :)

Could have ridden further but figured I needed to ease back in before knocking out 40-50 miles.
