Lakehouse for memorial day. Bringing the mountain bike, I'm told there are some trails around there, a pontoon boat, and a margarita machine. Ought be a decent weekend.

Interesting. My Zeiss 35-70 has a macro mode at 35mm (it's not true 1:1 macro, more like 1:2), which is pretty unusual, so to have 1:1 at 15mm is pretty wild; it is fun to get huge magnification coupled with a wide FoV.

Oh, I did the tire last night. All of the sanders were crap. The HF one was not stable enough to use, and didn't take material off very fast. The hand sander sucked even worse. The rubber on modern tires is just way too tough for a sander to be practical.
The Schwalbe Tread Cutters worked well, but it took a long time. Still can't ride the bike. Shop has the warranty parts in, they're just booked up until Monday :( |
