Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Excellent!!!

I dropped all but 2 riders when the group ride actually went over a small rise in the road today. That's probably as close as I'll ever get

Hmmm. Looks like Campy hubs have a collar with a pinch bolt on 'em nowadays. Wonder what's up with that.

Is that enough space to put a disc on, if you so choose? I don't even know how the disc fastens on to the hub.
Can someone enlighten me?

No disc mount on that one.

In MTB there's 6-bolt and Centerlock (which is a splined mount). Haven't really paid much attention to road discs, but I'd imagine they'd go with the same standards, or maybe just one of 'em.

This thread is about food or photography, seeds ain't hip to avant garde John Lennon or Styx and Billy D is busy in August. Oh yeah vests are the best thing ever.

What did I miss, please advise. Thanks.

P.S. Pie?
Naps. You omitted naps. Muy importante.

@LAJ thanks, Lloyd!

Pikes Peak. It's much steeper as it approaches 14,000 feet. Plus, the race starts at 7:00 am, because the road has to be open to cars by 9:00, I believe. Not to mention the weather thing that goes on above treeline. It's really a different world up there, and weather moves in pretty early.

I just polished off the chips and salsa and the pistachios. I need to go raid the kitchen again to fuel up for 3 more innings of Mariners action.

Ooh, there is more peach cobbler dump cake in there. #notquitepie
