New bike day for my friend in Austin. Bicycles Plus Coppell strikes again with a blow-out demo Synapse which I picked up for my buddy. I wish I had a time machine and I would have held off on the Canyon, price was stupid low.
Just as J gave me the gift of 'demo bike' I passed the opportunity on.
There is definitely something nice and refreshing about a non proprietary easy to service bike (rim brakes). I mean, discs work and work well, but it's another mech I'm not fully comfortable with yet / or in looks.

My one 5-min interval was just under that, maybe 115% or so; felt good/uncomfortable. A week ago, it would have felt bad/uncomfortable. I know the whole "spin to win" deal, but the last few sessions I've been sticking to the high-80s - low-90s region, and it's been much more sustainable for me. Maybe this is a sign that I need to embrace my inner clomping clyde.

The Gack? He posted some insane ride on strava the other day. Like 22mph average for hours...

Lucy wasn't funny to me, she was just silly, over the top. As was Jerry Lewis. Honeymooners was good.

I work work work on cadence for 6 months and then I spend too much time mountain biking and I'm back to stomp stomp stomp.
The ideal across a cycling population is to spin, generally speaking its more efficient metabolically. But some people (the people who are almost all slow twitch) may be at their best at a lower cadence. I tell myself maybe I am that person...

Eddie Haskell was cool. Those two Cleaver boys were just disgustingly naive and pure, made me want to spit.
The best thing about EH was he taught the impressionable utes of that era that there were people in the world who were full of **** . . . wolves in sheep's clothing. Where else were we ... I mean they going to learn that reality from? Sister Mary Joseph?

That's just it. Froome spins, so spinning is the key to winning. Some folks just churn butter, and that's just that. Not everyone has picture perfect cycling form, pro's included, but the job gets done.
Right now I'm on low cadence strength stuff, but cadence does go up when the weights are limited.

We have nothing cool in the Hudson Valley. The nearest TJ's or WF or WM or Apple store is at least 50 miles away in Connecticut or Rockland county. We don't even have Fios in my town.

Yeah that's a sizable guy. You can encourage him to always sleep in a prominent window while you're at work, won't nobody break into your place.

Marion "Sue" Randall, who played the teacher Alice Landers, was from Philly. Her two sons were friends with my stepbrother who later started a somewhat successful video production company in NYC with one of them.

Mine did too - would come roaring around the living room at top speed and then suddenly settle down again.
