Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We got four and a half inches of rain overnight which pushes our monthly total to five-and-a-half inches. Therefore; no need to go into Tennessee and take back what is legally and rightfully the possession of the good people of the great state of Georgia. A.K.A. God's country.

The MUP ride was a little sloppy.

On a related note did I actually see that 60 Minutes is still on television despite Andy Rooney, Mike Wallace, Ed Bradley and Morley Safer going the way of Johnny Majors?

Which God? That's a decent amount of rain. Don't let a little water stop you from invading a close neighbour.

Slow night. Everyone must be decompressing from band practice.

You missed out.

Last concert we had like four tuba players, and they've all vanished.

Another one has joined, and he's pretty good, but one just isn't enough.

On a related note, this video probably gets the @BillyD nod of approval.

It almost convinced me that drinking a cup of juice will destroy my liver.

It's a little over 40°, which isn't helping with morning ride motivation. Wishing that I would have bought those bib knickers a few weeks ago, but I had decided against it, thinking "oh, I've got plenty of time until I'll need those... "

This cold weather thing always shocks me. You folk have such short warm seasons. I also am taken by surprise by the short days, in which I get to participate along with you. And my inability to functionally begin my day before 8 AM, despite having my coffee at 6.
