I found this on my kitchen counter this morning. One doesn't normally get to view the underside.

Up at 5AM CST for the third day since getting home from Florida. I don't recall having trouble shaking EST before, I mean it's only an hour for Pete's sake.
BTW, it's now snowed twice since we got home Sunday night.
Lastly, I caught a carbon rim in a crack on yesterday's ride and ruined the rim.

Mrs datlas has a snow day today. She already Kondo-Maried the house, so she insisted we work on the crawl space (unfinished part of the basement). We have a ton of empty boxes there (any time we get something in a medium or bigger size box, we typically throw the box there in case we need to return it or for when we move)...
So we just went through a huge load of boxes and got rid of 80% of them. Breaking them down to recycle is now a work in progress.
I would much prefer to be on a ride.

Well, without going down the religious rabbit hole, Google is your friend.
As for the rim, I scrutinized it this morning and it's not cracked, just heavily scarred. Since it's a rear rim and a tubeless rim, the sidewall is very thick. I'm pretty sure that I can do some minor repair and it will be fine albeit possibly with a little braking stutter. I have minimal carbon repair abilities and think I can salvage it.

Random question. Maybe because I am veg, but I find the smell of cooked fish to be quite unpleasant. My office is near the lunchroom and sometimes employees microwave their lunch, and when someone makes fish it stinks (to me at least) and the smell lingers for awhile. I imagine I should just shut up but is there a role to ask people not to bring fish?
