Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

@Rowan. My wife has a Catrike 700 on rollers but trike riding isn’t really her passion. Her back hurts too much for her upright so I haven’t even mounted it on the trainer.

Seems like an upright would inhibit TV viewing. Speaking of TV, did y'all see the Samsung Wall? 219" !!!!

Weather forecast for the weekend is looking cold and possibly some nuisance snow. Sad!

Cold, cold morning. Even the northerners are cold. T'would be nice to be able to close things up for these mornings. Consolation for not riding--_the knees would have coniptions. We went on the flamingo tour yesterday. Thousands and thousands of them.

Blowing dogs off chains and 25º F this morning. Every morning I seem to add another clothing item. Today's was glove liners.

Keep the sunny pics coming!

The hawk is out right now. Flags on the BF Parkway are horizontal. I have a tailwind walking to work and a headwind walking home. The City could see 1-3" starting Saturday night.

After 19 years, I finally moved to SSE from NW of work. So much nicer to have a winter gale behind one on the way home in the freezing dark.

1-3" expected here. #Feh

Our weather guys can’t seem to make up their minds whether we are getting 5 or 9” of snow. Either one will cause cycling issues for a couple days.

Minneapolis actually has a pretty vibrant restaurant scene. You see most of the year it's painful to be outside so we need to congregate indoors.

I remember sitting outside for lunch back in '99 when we spent two nights there while riding across the U.S., but that was in July. Had my bike serviced at The Alt.
