By the way, as most people here know I absolutely LOVE the winter, so the season brings me no misery at all.

I’m awfully sorry you were upset by that remark. It wasn’t personal, it wasn’t even serious. It happens to be a very common joke around these forums, ask anybody I’m sure you’ll see it being spun more often now that you are aware. I do hope you feel better after getting off your beaches comment, I did notice it was a bit presumptuous, but don’t worry, I can take it.

I just hate winter. LLS on the other hand hates summer. I'd rather sweat than freeze. Hurts less.
BTW, I'm beach snob. Water has to be warm and clear, and sand white.

Since yesterday's theme was apparently "Geography Follies" I thought I should share my own family story.
My mother grew up in Chicago and after getting married (having completed 1 year at University of Illinois) they decided to move to New Jersey. At that time, her understanding was that New Jersey was a town in New York.
Sad.
I always found that hard to believe, because when I was a kid growing up they made us learn EVERY STATE and EVERY state capital (and tested based on a blank map of USA). But she swears it's true.

Not related but it reminded me of something funny. So one of the airports we service is Florence, South Carolina. One day we landed in Florence, and a passenger was visibly upset. He thought he purchased a ticket to Florence, Italy. We were in a dash-8 300 series turbo prop, not sure how he thought that was going to cross the Atlantic ocean.

I wasn't upset and didn't take it seriously. My post was intended to be sarcastic. I don't ever get butt hurt by anything said on a forum. You won't find me to be a snowflake.

This is probably my current favorite beach, Long Bay Beach in Tortola.

Delaware was my longest residency, but I do not consider myself a Delawarean.
