Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the Dodge because it has actual gauges and no TV screen. And it turned out to also be immune to the bug that made FCA vehicles susceptible to hacking. Since fixed, of course, but still.

I worked at Buick when the Riviera and Reatta had actual CRT screens with touch control. 88-89, iirc.

Yeah...I'm thinking more in the $2.5K-$3.5k range

If I drive 200 miles in a month that's a lot for me.

Just don't make the shares go to the client, if in Canada.

If I was looking at that range I would be less inclined to look for a specific model and try to find the best condition something that would work. When I bought the Trailblazer I wanted something I could put bikes inside of and it just showed up at the job as a trade in. Cost $2750 and I've driven it for 9 years and about 100K miles.

I had a new pickup in 1993 and it was great. I might look for one like it if I needed to. 6 cylinder, 5 speed, 20mpg and comfortable. Probably some fixers out there for $3K?

Yep, that's basically what the idea is. Something I can put a hitch mount bike rack on, and probably a Japanese 4 cylinder. Kind of want a manual transmission as well, if the car's going to be gutless in the mountains I can manage it better than an automatic.

I spent a pleasant, if warm half hour last night on the trainer on Zwift. Mostly Z1/Z2, but it felt good to do a couple minutes of Tempo. Infected leg didn't complain. I'll stick to the trainer this week, see if I'm up to a couple hours outside on Sunday.

Most people would specify "morning" shower for one of two reasons: (1) it's part of a regular "start the day" routine [not five-six hours after they arise], or (2) there are multiple showers in the day.

I'm guessing it's not 2.

If I am doing something that gets me hot, sweaty, and/or dirty first thing in the morning (such as riding my bike), I'm going to wait until after that activity to take a shower. It still may be in the morning when that happens.
