Went to the nag races with some friends yesterday and found out the girlfriends of one of my friends had just got implants. It was completely bizzare as they were both offering me feels all day. You got to do what you got to do I guess. :p

[edit] Congrats Paul. Now to see how you go raising someone other than yourself. ;)

Thylacine 04-25-06 06:56 PM

Congrats pshaw on the new addition. I reckon I've got two years respite before the hassling gets serious.

Jasus!

On the boobie front, I'm a natural guy. There's nothing worse than a woman with fake hair, fake tan, fake boobies. Only purpose they serve is for something to laugh at (or look at naked picture of on the internet, then laugh at again).

pshaw 04-25-06 07:27 PM

Thanks for all the congrats folks, yep life has changed!

Hows the gimpy shoulder jock? Anyone else race calga?

Brian 04-25-06 07:57 PM

Let's end the booby discussion before it goes someplace we shouldn't be going. Not that you guys haven't already crossed that line. :D

climbo 04-25-06 07:58 PM

nobody from here raced Calga, was a good day out, nice and sunny, 46 turned up. Times were slow.

Ill be at calga on the 6th May for the RR. Will probably stay up the coast at the holiday house and do the TT on sunday on the way home.

tempted to have a hit out there next weekend as well, but dont want to compromise myself for WSMTB XC on sunday.

Just posted this on the main roadie forum, someone recommended I post it on the Aussie thread.

Probably the best thing to do is call the shops that sell race stuff in the areas you wanna ride.
Most of the groups are organized through high-end shops.

What side of town are you on?

there's also this sub-forum:
http://www.cyclingforums.com/f126-au...w-zealand.html (check out the thread about rides leaving from Kennedy's shop) which is a part of this forum: http://www.cyclingforums.com/ This forum also contains the 'Aus Cafe' usenet forum, which takes a couple of days to register for, but that's where most of the Melbournians hang out.

On holidays at the moment and was cleaning out the cupboard when I came across my first cycling shoes. Thought they might bring back a few memories for ed073 or others?

Wilchemy 04-25-06 10:48 PM

^^ Yeah, what 531 said. The higher end bike shops are usually a good place to make enquiries. Mascot Cycles in Richmond has a ride down Beach Rd every Sat morning at 7am (I think) from the shop. This is a pretty relaxed ride and a good one to start with when getting into group rides.

Yeah mate, absolutely! :)

I've got the same shoes (somewhere), but they're the grey ones and they're ripped to shreds! Cost me $150 at Terry Hammond in 1987, and I used them for about 10 years. They didn't cut it with clipless.

LOL

Gave an identical pair to a mate of mine. I still have a pair of the silver ones with the 'aero' cover (super Merckx or something). There might even be a pair my original Adidas Merckx shoes floating (with the leather stripes) around at my parents house. :)

good stuff, the Aussie Masters RR is also on May 7th up at Calga, you should check it out. It's just up the road from the TT.

Please tell us you didn't buy a Learsport.

Did you see the thread on the Learsport? I thought you might like that.

Buying a Learsport is a good way to get a groupo cheaper than aussie retail. Pity you have to scrap the rest of the bike.

Not a very sustanable way to buy groupo's.

sweet, ill try to check that out. ill probably have the GF with me, so i dont want to push my luck. shes normally really open to comming to races etc, jsut dont want to change that!

is the ATTA TT held on the same course as the CCCC RR's?

speaking of racing on the central coast, are you or Pshaw doing the night XC race at Ourimbah in june? id give it a go but i dont have the lights, (or the mega bucks for a good set)

royale 04-25-06 11:56 PM

Does anyone know who is the Australian delivery agent for Parcelforce (UK)?

My parcel arrived Monday but wasn't at work to accept. I don't know who actually delivered it to call to get it re-delivered.
Stoopid receptionist didn't give me the details.

Good old Dunlop Rd; I did my first ever criterium there in 1987. I don't think we even needed a license back then

Take a big dump on Saturday morning and yer in! :D
It might be our last at Dunlop Rd cos of: a) council permits and b) Casey Fields
I'm not sure which grade I'm this weekend... hopefully C, and hopefully this flu will have completely gone by then.

Ian, have you joined the Bicycles Victoria forum? Might be worth giving it a go.

http://www.bv.com.au/forums/index.php

Regarding silicon and cadence ... well just check out the lack of bounce on someone with implants, 'nuff said. :p
