pshaw 05-25-06 04:03 AM

Your not so good with techology are you. That why you work for HP

Go here: http://www.bikeforums.net/showpost.p...postcount=6250

I don't have a gimpy wing. I have two gimpy wings (now) that cancel each other out and actually make me more aerodynamic (ie. they slope more downward that they used to)

Pinkie doesn't like rough tar and throw road surfaces, but it's gonna hafta get used to it.

climbo 05-25-06 06:30 AM

However, my quads are now claiming that they are the boss of me! :o

On the plus side the missus brought home some yummy beers to drink. Spose I shouldn't disappoint her

I needed my strine dictionary for that one. I may send HD another pump by boat - might be quicker.

from today's RBR newsletter:

Shimano Corporation is recalling about 5,000 front quick-release skewers. Shimano says that after the QR is locked into position, the skewer could spontaneously break. Silver-colored QR skewers purchased or received after Nov. 1, 2005, are affected. Not being recalled are black skewers or those that have a small round sticker on the back of the lever. The recall affects Shimano 105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace, XT and XTR hubs, and Dura-Ace front wheels, including some Sport Dynamo hubs. According to the trade publication Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, Shimano will send a letter to retailers by May 31 with plans for replacing affected front skewers. Check with a Shimano dealer then if you have a suspect QR. In the meantime, stop riding with it[

Australia v Greece at the G match report. Crowd of 95K, interesting game, not just defence or keepings off. Flares were thrown & lit in the stands so it felt like a real soccer game and two pitch invaders made tools of the fat donut cops at the end of the match. :D

All in all a good nite. :)

also the Matildas came from behind to beat the Mexican chicks 2-1 in the warm-up match.

jock 05-25-06 04:59 PM

Congratulations climbo (and Mrs climbo!). Another cycling superstar is born

Pulled up fine. No muscle soreness, but then i wasn't thrashing yesterday just putting in the miles. Bit of kneecap pain which I didn't expect, but that's easy to control and gives me an excuse to avoid those horrible hill-things for a bit.

Back to form in 3-6 weeks depending on how quickly I can shed the weight so I can get back into tougher training. I can't do a lot yet anyways coz the shoulder muscles are all clapped out and the break isn't completely knitted, so hard standing starts and savage hocking are out of the question for another 3-4 weeks.

I'll drop in and race at Calga in a few weeks time to get a feel for what needs to be done. No point ATM because I descend like a B grader and climb like an E grader on mandrax.
