Someone should give that unfunny tool Kochie a good kick in the nuts.

I also heard second hand some comments that stupid bag Mel made about the new IR laws. Something along the lines of 'What is everyone complaining about. What ever happened to the old days when everyone just worked and was happy to have a job'. Thank you for your real world contribution there Mel.

Unfortunately most of us have heads more suited to radio and are not relatively attractive dumb molls who lucked out and get to work on TV.

how obtrusive is it? Does it mean my Explorer has to go?

www.mozilla.com/firefox/ i think its about 4.5 meg, copies all favourites, cookies etc over ( so you dont have to re enter all your passwords) . similar look and feel to Internet explorer but just nicer. seems " faster " as well.

and yes it runs along side internet explorer.

+ 1. They are actors, not journos.

I blame the stupid voices on Jana Wendt. At least she has the excuse that its her actual voice. The rest of them don't.

Yesyesyes, the news presenters are all d¡ckheads, we know this.

Heck, I had a little cheer when Richard Carlton carked it.

+1 for firefox and thunderbird.

And now for something really bizarre - check out this

I stumbled on this by accident while doing some route mapping for a driving tour. Can you imagine being part of the research team?

climbo 05-30-06 01:47 AM

the toilet map is brillaint, they should be rated though... 1 to 5 Mr Hankies, maybe even a pic of each included.

Girls always like to know where the next dunny stop is :p

Dunno about the pics though, especially the ones in Bathurst :D Unless it is of the dunnies in Kawakawa in NZ - http://www.pbase.com/philinnz/kawakawa_toilets

Looks to be similar to blackcurrents except high in B12 instead of C. I'd rather eat a vegemite sambo.

B12? Get Professional you blokes and get your B12 the way nature intended - via syringe!:p Maybe if you use the berry as suppository the B12 will absorb through the bowel into the system quicker.:D

I went to a fruit farm up near Port Douglas while playing tourist years ago. They had fruit I hadn't seen before or since. Some of it tasted fantastic. I vaguely recall one odd looking thing about the half the size of a Kiwi fruit that the Cocky who owned the joint reckoned contained the equivalent Vitamin C to 100 oranges. They even had about 6 varieties of bananas. The reason we don't see it down south is that it doesn't transport or keep very well.

Talking of TV presenters.

There was just a total p1ss take of those channel 7 sunrise presenters on Comedy Inc.
It was actually pretty funny. Usually most of the stuff on those shows is a bit average.

royale 05-30-06 06:56 AM

On a different topic, do any of you guys use software to track your training schedule? Like a training diary of some sort.

I had a quick look but couldn't find anything worth using. Any ideas?

I'm probably going to right my own web based one if I can't find anything. Any input as to what it should contain would be awesome.

bbw 05-30-06 07:52 AM

I remember downloading a free something called TrainingLog? ages ago just to have a look, but it was very basic and I certainly never used it. But then I havent even had a computer on a bike for 13 odd years. The polar stuff looks good for pc users:(

Nope. Scrapped the flash intro, and trying to make time to create the pages. Moving has cut into my time quite a bit.

What platform are you writing it for? Cross platform, windows, mac, web?

I was going to do a java/mySQL web solution, that way I can access it at work or at home.

What sort of things are you putting in it? I can't think of massive amounts of functionality.
Heres some of the stuff I'm thnking at this stage.

Record: - distance, time, average heart rate, max heart rate, min heart rate, intensity, location, session type (race, train, social), exercise type (cycle, run, walk, yoga etc)

Report: - For a given time, distance, average speed for a particular exercise type
Other variations based on a period and distance, times, heart rates

Have nice calendar interface to schedule training as well as actual training done.
