Anybody waste hours of their life trying to get ashes tickets? I started at 8:50 (before they went on sale) and quit at 12, hammering the website and the phone line constantly. Didn't even get close. What's worse on the SMH blogs all the pommies bragging they got tons. I'm taking up baseball... :(

there will be plenty on ebay soon enough. A biking related problem due to my noobness: When changing the stem drop (its adjustable yes I am going to change it out) obviously you have to rotate the bars. What position should the bars be in? ie should the bottom straight bit of the drops be parallel to the ground? I guess its kinda a philosphical question. |

nah Gabe, line it up so the hoods and bend at the top are in the most comfortable position for riding. My drops are at about 30 degrees off flat, and the tops are pretty much perfectly flat with the hoods running in a straight line off the tops.

when did this hoods and tops level idea become mandatory? or even fashionable? I've only just graduated to my first ergo setup and flat was never even remotely possible on my old bikes. I've got the new bike set up with the tops/ hoods reasonably horizontal, but it sure took some getting used to and to be honest I've had more wrist soreness lately than I had with the hoods a good quarter of the way around the bend on my Cinelli Giro D'Italia bars on the old bike. The pain could be trade related more than bike, but still, whats the reasoning here?

I don't like the camel thing for road riding, I find I can't get enough water through the damn thing in one go. I chuck an extra bottle in one of my back pockets for more than a 3 hr ride.
I only do the camel thing for MTB riding, then I have less weight on the frame. |

The list for pbk just gets longer and longer :eek: Did you have any luck with the seatpost? Mine comes loose every once and a while, no matter how hard I tighten it, serrated edges are ok though. On a positive note I am liking the compact geometry, yeah it isnt the prettiest thing, but I enjoy the handling characterisitics. |
