Holy crap! Kotter knows his riders now, and even has a modern bike. You've truly converted the boy.

Sign me up for TAT team. I'll be the lantern rouge after the prologue and then bail on the first day. I've done a sport massage course tho so I could be soigneur (sp?) after that...:)

jock 07-01-06 01:48 AM

Team TAT is go!

thunder can do media liaison.

I love how TAT can trivialise even the biggest sports news of the year :roflmao: keep up the good work.

OK so we got a DS, signouer, driver....
As for the predictions...
Green = Odin (for his great race reports of sprints this year)
Spots = Climbo (nuff said)
White = Kotter (young man comes of age)
Yellow = ...........(Anyone game to claim it?)

:p

FWIW, inside i'm gutted, what a sheet couple of days!

oh, and go Millar, wouldnt that be irony if the guy returning from a drug ban kicks ass!

jock 07-01-06 02:44 AM

Damn. Sorry guys, we're out of the Tour.

Seems no airline can get us there in time.

Bugger. :(

Missed another top nite at DGV last night guys. Div 1 were doing 200 flys with some very impressive times posted in less than perfect conditions. Madison also featured some remarkable 'upside-down' attempts at changing, only one of which worked. Very amusing to watch. Bloody good race tho.

For me a reasonable nite in Div 3 with 4, 6, 1, 1, whatever for a maximum points haul. Shame about the 6th in the wheelrace off 40m. Guy on 65m took off like a rocket and gapped the guys in front of me something shocking. By the time I closed it (about 30m) the sprint was on and I didn't have enuf gas left in the tank to go round the outside of a newspaper delivery boy on mandrax. Such is life. To his credit the 65m man completed the job and won. Another week in Div 3 to consolidate before the pain begins.

atm im leaning towards stealth PBO but wonder if any of you guys are scooting around on either set?

I've got the Cosmics. If you're planning on spending that sort of coin & are looking at Deep dish, I'd be going for the Zip 404's. I only use the cosmics for TT's & flat road races or the occaisional crit that doesn't require jumping out of corners. The Cosmics are probably to heavy for everyday race use

you can't go wrong with the ksyrium's. If I was in the market for some new ones, I'd be going with the ES special edition. Can be had from PBK for around $1100AUD

TDF is underway, first MT rubbush out of the way, and now SBS is covering LAST YEARS final stage?!??!!! WTF?? Have they been infected by the programming mentality of 7, 9, & 10? Do they think they can score browny points for not showing it last year by showing it this year instead of showing the first stage?

For anyone interested there are 50 riders home, GRABSCH leads with 8:31.9 (~50kmh).

jock 07-01-06 06:38 AM

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark. Gabriel Gate is back with his poncy recipes. Arrrrrggggghhhhhh.

Anyway, back in the cycling LANG leads with 08:21.8 (about 51kmh) with 70 riders home

I know! I guess it's for the non-cycling fans

Speaking of "MT" and the "fancy accent SBS boys", there was a beauty from Andrew Orsati last night. He couldn't just say "Hambourg" like the rest of us, which is "Hamberg"; oh no, he had to say "Hambor-erg", with a bit of an accent! Height of pretension!! :p Tosser!!

Almost as bad as Tomalaris pronouncing "Merckx" as "Mee-airkxs", with a Western Euro accent!!
Crikey!!

jock 07-01-06 06:52 AM

O'Grady just misses out on taking the intermediate lead by a whisker (08:21.9), Karpets in 3rd

jock 07-01-06 06:53 AM

...and finally SBS catches up with reality

jock 07-01-06 07:35 AM

jock 07-01-06 08:04 AM
