Zipp 404's all the way. I can get them for about 2k, for the record. If you're after a custom frame existence, you really should give me a bell. Have a new carbon/ti monster in the pipeline that you may find interesting, and most parts I can get for under AU wholeslale, so buying parts like that in dribs and drabs is only costing you money.

Have you got fitted up and all that yet?

I considered a wax, but too many chicks warned me off the pain. Also you basically have to get naked for the waxer person to get into the nooks and crannies.

Feels funny though!!

Even worse, you will keep doing it. Hubby decided to do it "just once, to see what it feels like" and now I have to hide my razors to save them from being blunted. :(

I think it is my duty as a fellow female to warn your wife of this potential threat to her razor supply - does she have an email address? :D

Go Thor! Go the OV riders!

I'll take the mountains points on my new lightweight plastic bike for Team TAT. I will need to swap out the 23 on the back though.

Yellow pedals look stoopid on a red and white bike :(

mrkott3r 07-01-06 08:56 PM

how many ads were there last night on the telecast, I thought for a second I thought channel nine had taken over the coverage

You know what? I reckon this years' Tour is going to be a cracker.

Who are we tipping for the podium? I have high hopes for Evans and Rodgers, but Leipheimer and Popovych look strong too. So does Hincapie. Landis just looks disorganised and very silly in yellow and green, but hopefully will get his ***** together to make the race more interesting in the upcoming weeks.

My inner mountain biker wants to see Evans and Rasmussen in some spirited riding up in the big hills, which let's face it, is what the tour is really all about.

This week though is going to be a wide open sprintfest, and judging from the ITT, it looks like there's so many sprinters on form this week.

Hopefully SBS can learn how to broadcast in the meantime. Last night was a new low in quality from those guys- I didn't know wtf I was watching half the time, and neither did the commentators.

*EDIT*

Okay, done a bit of research now. So there's three ITTs during the Tour this year, so we're really looking at guys who can climb as well as ITT. Maybe Thunder can chime in here.

Re: Hair removal. Waxing. Shaving is for amateurs! Oh, and why are you bothering doing it in Winter, Wattsy ya drongo!? The carpet is very handy in Winter under the ol' tights.

Unless the undergrowth is so lush, it pokes through the tights! Then it just looks plain odd. :p

It will probably feel even stranger when you get in the pool (given your triathlon ambitions) you kind of feel more streamlined tho - it's weird.

BTW I hope you didn't just go to bike short length....fur shorts with the budgie smugglers - not at good look!!:D

And waxing only hurts for a second...but it takes effort to arrange so shaving suits my laziness better.

Wilchemy 07-01-06 10:45 PM

Geez I was so glad that Hincapie missed out on the yellow last night. I don't think I couldn't handle all the "LA's faithful lootenant" blah blah blah.... Phil Ligget still managed to mention LA enough times last night that I was starting to think he was gunna ride

OT: Miss Ameria 2006 on at the moment....mmmm:)

Hehehe...Funny you should say this. I've just return from Coles...To get a different razor for the legs.:D

Looking forward to the first swim...Tuesday Morning.

I did a search on the boards for 'how far' one shaves. I thought I'd stopped at the nut crakers though...too much information??:D

I thought the strangest feeling was getting under the sheets, but that was about 20 years ago, so I can't believe I can still remember :)
