I heard this before but I cant believe the chainrings can get worn out in one ride...?
And you say they can ONLY use proprietary shimano XTR chainrings..?

FWIW, the 06 cranks are cheap....

At first i was going to give Toma the benefit of the doubt and thought it was a fair sledge, of a commentator who constantly gets the names completely mixed up, but then he corrected himself and it was business as usual for bumbling Toma.

I don;t rekon there's a chick on that VP page that I wouldn't hit. And I'm not that desperate I swear. :o

Those crazy Beligans and their tasy beers. Some drunk spectator took out Sandy Casar on the Cauberg yesterday and then started a fight with his DS. Meanwhile some other dudes were trying to steal Casar's wheels from his bike :roflmao:

Julian Dean had a tumble in the sprint finish today (just road rash apparently) but to add insult to injury the Viking got relegated for not holding his line :(

62vette 07-05-06 04:48 PM

So saccy, you lining up a transfer to Palo Alto from Bathurst?

HDTVKSS 07-05-06 05:25 PM

was Thor pushed off line by Deans stack? or perhaps Dean stacked because Thor went off line? if its the former then its a sucky penalty.

Problem is that all of those chicks are more interested in their careers than men. We're just a distraction for a couple minutes a week where they need some 'light relief'. They work harder and become much herder than men in this environment.

And this differs how from most cycling blokes and their bikes? :o

All I do at work is browse the internet anyway so I'd go alright. They could hire me as "Manager of Female VP Affairs". ;)

62vette 07-05-06 05:39 PM

That's the tool, as the actress said to the bishop :D

Fine by me. As long as the pay's healthy and the work's good I'm happy. :)

[Edit] Or is that pays good and works healthy. Bah, either way I'd be there.

BTW, should see the female geeks up here. Jebus weeps. :(

I know too many female geeks and they scare me. The more I work with them, the less attractive they become. I like women to be women and not pseudo blokes.

wattsy_rules 07-05-06 07:14 PM

BTW, due to the wife coming home two days ago, I haven't had the chance to watch the TDF...has it been any good to date?

I'm not taking the p*ss.

Robbie was so convincing last night, it would be tough not to tip him for the 3peat.

Unsure about Rogers for the ITT. Think Zabriskie might take it, with Landis in the top 5 too.

Here's Marissa prior to going to work for Google....

Hey, I just saw a video of the 'Big Brother Incident'. Anyone have an opinion on it?

Personally, I think having my face slapped with someone's genitals is, well, yuck, but the girl said "You're not going to Turkey Slap me are you?" and well, they did. Afterwards she then feels-up one of the guys and jokes around.

Now, the real question in my mind is, should 20somethings be rubbing their genitals in someones face for a joke in the first place, and should women see that as 'fun'?

Case of double standards I think. If a woman rubbed her crotch in a guys face, it would be labeled as gross and she would be labelled a '****'; but if you're a guy, you're obviously 'just having a laff'.

Personally, I also think women should aim a bit higher than 'something for guys to rub their penises on', but that's just me.

In The Age Tuesday, little Johnny said -

"The business community is always saying to me, 'Let us self regulate'. Well, here's a great opportunity fo Channel 10 to do a bit of self regulation and get this stupid program off the air."

However, using that logic, BB should encourage a continuance of this kind of behaviour because ratings go UP when there's controversy, which means more idiots staring at the screen, which means increased revenue through advertising.

Yet another case of Howard showing how little backbone he has. Calling something 'stupid' or 'In bad taste' placates the oldies and the youngsters flock to anything labelled thus like fies to poo, because Grandpa Johnny wouldn't approve (*snicker*), appealing to the teenage rebellion factor.

Corporations cannot self regulate, that's why we have the ACCC to put the smackdown on arseholes like HIH and anyone else who attempts to 'self regulate'.

If BB wasn't getting the ratings and wasn't making any cash, I'm sure 10 would axe it, but clearly it isn't, so why should anyone expect them to take it off the air? Also, anyone with access to the internet can see how tame ours is compared to even BB UK, so you could argue that taking BB AU off air would be a victory for the puritans and those wanting to promote censorship in this country.
