1 Nathan O'Neill (Qld) Navigators 53.14.74
2 Luke Roberts (SA) CSC 2.59.23 3 Ben Day (Qld) 3.12.14 4 Russell Van Hout (SA) 3.16.35 wow, that confirms my assumption this was O'neils major objective of the season and Luke Roberts et al are in CSC commando camp, sailing instead of cycling, mode. No way O'neil beats any of those riders by 3 minutes in an equal preparation scenario. Jamieson, still not there... |

All the Euro's are recalibrating their seasons and are not in top shape, saying that, most of them are in Europe for atleast part of the season. |

I figure he got up too lat in Sydney and could not be bothered bike baggin his Lapierre or he had a problem in transit with it. Thus he borrowed the Specialized steed in Brisbane. What is the potential for a fragile athlete like Mcgee to do some structural damage in a crit with a bike that is fit in haste. He was blocked in his new postion in the 20 km tour timetrial this year. And he often has back problems. Any expert opinions folks? Apparently he changed his position recently - he bloody needed to. |
Hey, is it the 4th of July or something today? Our septic friends are all a bit 'rah rah rah' today in the road and road racing forums.

Just be sure to say Euro, not EURO.

Yeah....Michael Ford is the new IP wunderkind. It'll be some other teenager with lungs like a racehorse next year..... |

all of his TT wins have been big margins.... this one the biggest.... and he still has to prepare for the US season over "winter". Bloody brilliant effort.

The second one purely saline solution only ofcourse  . Actually the second one was an unknown. What was the drug Rory got caught with, something to do with pregnancy, but anecdotally for recovery. Like Hondo and formerly Garzelli, these riders are getting caught with obscure concoctions of drugs. But then again, the group of drugs for Rumsas'mother in law was quite exhaustive and would have done a apothecary proud. All heresay ofcourse. |

I remember Mcgee being closer to 80 kgs, than the 70 kgs he is now when he was 18, though not quite 80 kgs. So he can lose some weight probably. In the support crit he was about two thirds of the way back in the pack on Sunday, after getting a fourth in the Friday crit. as riders dropped out, he slowly moved to the back of the field and was yoyoing in the last 5 riders for the last 15 minutes, and dropped off the back for the last 4 laps. Good performance for a 16 year old, but there were other 16 year olds that were in the field. that said, his summer focus must have been on the track carnivals, and he got 4th on Friday. Walker won the Portarlington stage of the pro field when he was 16 though, albeit a different type of rider. |

I remeber talking with an Italian bloke once in Holland who was shocked I didn't use an IV after heavy training or racing. Bugger me....take it easy, Paolo!! |

Geelong Botanical Gardens, I think. A super talent. |

A super talent. Rabocop espoirs  ... and Sutherland came out of there. The management should know what was going on with their riders. That might have been the birdie source, not the elder Rory, just saying  On the rumours thing, does anyone believe CSC's "values" propoganda. Team building, commando trainers, new age witch doctors, transvestite yoga teachers, and dog pilates? Can they create results out of thin air. Sure Julich had talent, you don't come third in the tour without talent, even if it was 1998, and everyone had big pharma coming out their gills. I know "Mr 60%" is an apocryphal Chinese whispers epithet, but there was not many who were not in the upper echelons then who would not have been getting a little love from the ampoule of EPO. So, it is entirely disingenuous to spout values for all his success. |
hee hee hee, Kathy Watt won the TT by 33s :)
http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2006...esults/AORC061 shove THAT up the "system" and the cliques!! :D I was always pissed off that the good old East Bentleigh boy, Rainsford was dumped by the system in the late 80s, just coz he got on the booze with Patterson |

Stand by for possibly the most boring interview since: -Lloydy was made captain of the bombers -Brad Hodge scored his double ton |
see Kirsten is switching to track endurance for Beijing. He wants a ride in the 4000 teams pursuit.
Have you ever seen competition for a spot in a team. I will rate them in order. Mcgee Brown *Barras or Bannan rate his start as the best in the world Roberts *will only be 30 Lancaster Jamieson Ford Renshaw Dawson Olman Kirsten *might challenge for Browns spot on the starting position. I think he is the best 1km starter Finning Hutchison Woolridge Howard *will be 18, and Mcgee first rode at 18 |

I would move Olman above probably Pete Dawson and Prince Harry. I like the form Richard England is showing too....porbably not as gifted as everyone on this list, but is showing where hard training and lots of racing can get you. (Plus he's from my old club....:D) |
