You got 18 answers right.
You got 2 answers wrong.
You're a little ripper!
You have a near perfect grasp of the colourful gab and can probably make yourself understood in most social occasions, such as Gazza's weekly Barbie... but I bet you can't throw a boomerang!

Those 8 years in Sydney stood me well. The lads at the Lane Cove Country Club would be proud.

I would have thought 'Strewth mate' would have been more appropriate in that context

62vette 01-22-06 02:45 AM

red or white

Jock would actually say BLACK. Black is the only colour worth considering for any bike, except maybe recumbents which should all be painted fluro pink at birth.

Canary yellow is the WORST color for a bike, and yes I've painted a bike canary yellow and regretted it. My race bike is also canary yellow and white, and it sux. Canary yellow goes with no other color.

Tomalaris to Davis

Is Robbie getting slower?

muppet, he clocked 75 kph on stage one and gapped the big boys by two lengths.

jock 01-22-06 02:54 AM

BWAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAH.

MT: "Will Robbie be riding with a walking stick next year?"

Mate I squibbed it. :o I did my 65k yesty morning and raced the boat in the arvo and in the heat, it drained me completely such that I just couldn't do anything this morning but sleep in.

I'll be fresh for Penrith tomorrow nite ;)

You ride?

P.S. I'm over my back pain :) :) :)

Brian 01-22-06 04:08 AM

On road bike colour choices, I thought about the road bikes from my past:
The Felt was white with carbon fork.
Cannondale was dark blue.
Ciocc was dark blue.
Basso was fuschia.
Trek was black.
Go dark.

climbo 01-22-06 04:13 AM

he's got the 'fro, I say red, yellow and green. :)

mrkott3r 01-22-06 04:21 AM

I think Ive narrowed it down to red or black or white/cream.

I might go a little crazy and paint the fork a different colour.

Brian 01-22-06 04:24 AM

You wild man, you. Mix cream with vanilla!

Yup, first week back on program and went pretty good. Felt strong for the whole race only to fail miserably with hyperventilation. No endurance yet, but all looks good for later this year. Plenty of speed and strength, just not the whole mix yet.

It's amazing what intensive sex therapy can do for a lazy lumbar

Funnily enuf the geeks in the white lab coats reckon it's triggered by stress (eg. lack of race fitness). This time was wierd tho. I didn't feel bothered at all just couldn't breathe all of a sudden, then wham, hyper. Total spinout.

Brian 01-22-06 01:39 PM

Jocko, I got that at the BMX track sometimes. Ever see stars?

jock 01-22-06 02:45 PM

No, I'm not that brave :D

jock 01-22-06 03:03 PM

Alby does the unthinkable and beats McEwen in a sprint finish, Gerrans leads from start to finish to take a tour GC, and what's in the paper? NOTHING. SFA.

climbo 01-22-06 03:12 PM

pretty girls in short skirts in Melbourne, cricket to lose in Sydney, and it's footy pre-season, you think anyone cares ? :)

Happy Monday !

jock 01-22-06 03:19 PM

Hmmm... I guess not. But it would have been nice to have read sumfing about it. It's only our premier annual cycling event.

climbo 01-22-06 03:29 PM

I think it was on Page 10 in the Advertiser this morning :)

It'll take a LONG time for that to happen.

US Pro Champs is never in the paper anywhere except in Philadelphia where it used to be held every year. The rest of the US wouldn't even know it was on even though half the town of Philly and surrounding burbs used to go every year. One of the biggest outdoor gatherings they have every year but you wouldn't know if you didn't live right there.
