Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i'm pretty sure I haven't posted this since the many upgrades i've put into it.

02 Extralight w/ 7800 bits, easton wheels and medium to high end rest.

and before someone points out the obvious, that's a 6700 chainring on the 7800 crank. aesthetically, i like it better. functionally I notice no difference.

Bikes: Dean Super Lite and Gary Fisher Mendota

Dean El Diente Super Lite

Removed the Zipp decals from the wheels. The bike is almost what I have envisioned sans the bottle cage. I just ordered titanium cages from wiggle and they should be arriving sometime next week.

Will post another update then. Meanwhile, I hope this pic pleases all you connoisseurs!

How is that saddle? Only thing I've noticed is that it's stupid expensive.

It is pretty expensive if bought at retail price but i manage to get a steal on ebay. I figured I needed 3 bottle cages (2 for drinks and 1 for tools and stuff) but I didn't like the minoura cages that can be attached to the seatpost/saddle.

That said, it is surprisingly comfy. First time I went out on this saddle, it slipped my mind that I was using a new saddle.

That is a beautiful color combination. Ti bikes are usually so "plain" I think we need to add some bling-bling to bring out the "highlights." Your bike looks awesome. Thanks for sharing....

I am also considering removing the stickers from my Litespeed Classic. I don't think the decals add much to the visual appeal of the bike...plus I really hate the yellow script on "Litespeed."
