JonnyHK,
Yep - those are custom-built Prowheelbuilder.com wheels, hand built by Richard, and were dead on true after over 10 km up until the crash.

Hello Mark,
Glad you are OK after such a hard wreck, that's a mean bend on that frame from the crash!
I have a few questions if you please about your Lynsky.
What size frame is your bike?
How tall are you in feet, inches?
How much does your bike weight built up now in pounds or grams or kilograms?
I ask because Lynsky is having a sale here. Leaning towards a custom built frame,
but the Lynsky sale is tempting.
Thank you for your time.

My R230 with Envy fork, 105/mix setup is 19.45 lbs. I have a lot of areas I could save weight, but as the wallet is lighter than the bike, it will stay the way it is for now. I don't really care. I love the way it rides.
I'm 6'2" and ride a large. I think I could have sized up one size, but I'm in no way saying I wish I had. Again, I love the bike just the way it is.

And Lynskey has proven themselves time and time again with legendary customer service, whether in the sales process or post-sale. Wish more companies got it like they do!

You seem to think that I'm brand conscious or interested in "upgrades". I think it's pretty evident from my bike that neither is the case. I plan on riding the crap out of this bike as is.
BD doesn't have any Ti in stock because the redesigned 2014s with the tapered headtube are about to hit.

(now I can't get the italics off) anyway, do you understand what I meant? And is only a suggestion, if you want to replace worn out parts with worse or same or better it's entirely up to you.

Cool Dudes
Thanks for the reply Mark, I would need a small too.
The stainless steel frame I'm leaning towards having built is awesome, but the custom route
is expensive. Worth it, but Lynsky has some good deals on outgoing 2013 bikes now.
You can get hand brushed finish on some Helix frames at no extra charge.
My custom SS frame woule be about a grand more for final price. Can't go wrong either way though.
Your info is much appreciated, you have a great looking bike there.
PhotoJoe, you are doing it right. You wouldn't believe how much time I spend sweating out details (OCD!)
for my next bike.
You have what you need, bike looks great and you are on the road enjoying it.
Thanks for sharing pics of your ride, sweet R230, like the FSA wheels/Enve fork/black crank.

OCD is my middle name! Over the course of a year, I spent 74 days in the hospital and just as many laying on the sofa recovering from my treatments. My OCD was the only thing that got me through that. Gave me a good diversion from reality. Finally decided to skip what I could afford and bought the Lynskey as a reward for surviving the previous year. No regrets at all.

Hey Mark, how do you ride in Bangkok, the traffic would be dangerous and the CO2 from the traffic would get to you after a while ?

spectastic - I would like to put all the blame on the van but the truth of the matter is that I should have been more proactive and rode more defensively. I should have assumed that the van would turned left in front of me into my lane but I did not. So I crashed into the van.
kleng - You are correct, the air pollution is horrible in Bangkok. I train/ride every weekend in the southeastern suburbs, adjacent to the runway at Suvarnabhumi airport, where there are no buildings and relatively few cars from 630 am to 10 am. But, occasionally, a van does decide to pull right in front of you because he does not consider bikes as something he should watch our for....
But, about once a month, my family and I go to the southern beach city of Hua Hin where I get to ride along the beach and coastal roads where it is absolutely beautiful.

Wow. That Lynsky wreck was nasty. Glad to hear not hurt seriously. My wife has a Lynsky and the customer service is good to hear.

Love this thread! Everyone's posts of excellent titanium rigs inspired me to to build up my own and post it here...

2004 Litespeed Firenze frame found on eBay, built up with handed-down DA 7700, updated with 10-speed 105 5700 shifters and cassette (shift action very smooth and precise) and R700 compact crank; red pops with Woodman headset and seatpost clamp; cockpit consists of SLR Flow saddle, Bontrager seatpost with red rail clamp, Bontrager RXL stem, Specialized compact bar, Fizik Microtex tape; Ksyrium SSC SL wheels with Conti GP4000s; plus my favorite update--3T Funda Pro fork. As expected, rides very smoothly (but with a touch of harshness on the front, I'm guessing from the fork). I've dreamed of owning a Ti bike for decades, so I guess it's a dream come true.

I just built this one up. It's 6700 Ultegra with 5700 shifters. I got a sweet deal on fsa carbon wing bars. $20. I also got a deal on Ultegra wheels. I put only 80 miles on it so far it's just been to cold.
