Very nice bike! I like the blue headset. IMHO, it needs a couple more subtle blue touches - bar ends, perhaps?
I'm currently waffling between Moots and Seven for my first Ti bike and am almost coming down to a coin toss (or series of them).

I like the Moots. Is it a smaller frame size? The tubing somehow looks large proportionally. I like the Kona Esatto Ti frame, made by Lynskey to Kona's spec. Would be my choice probably if I was shopping, and had money to burn..

Moots uses bigger tubes for the RSL road bike.

Bought this 2001 Merckx Titane frame from France and had it shipped to Australia.
Built it up with a 7800 groupset.
Not much info available on the Titanes but my understanding is that unlike the EX and AX that were made by Litespeed for the US market (predominantly) the Titane was made by Merckx from Litespeed tubing for Europe. Can anyone confirm that?

My first ever Titanium. My first ever Frankenbike. Just completed last night. I am taking it on it's maiden voyage right now, I'm hoping not Titanic voyage... bad "dad pun", as my daughter says. I will post details and more pics tonight. I decided to forgo a front derailleur and second ring, this is a tt bike, who needs 20 jumbled gear combinations. 650c and mostly pre-2000. I love the clean lines. (I'm from the drillium era.)

This bike is great as a city bike. I ride it on the MuPs with my husband and on the road. It's marketed as a do it all bike and I really think it suits that description. I LOVE this bike even though it's a little wonky.
I don't think I like the brown bar tape. I think I'm going to switch it to black, what do you all think?
So some might wonder why the mishmash in parts. This bike started life as a crazy "hybrid build". It was setup with flat bars, 10sp. With a mix of DA and XTR. It was all road up front and all MTB parts out back. I was running road flat bar shifters. But after building it and riding it that way for several hundred miles, I didn't like it and wanted this to be a proper road setup. So instead of starting over, I just used some of the parts on the bike and this is what I ended up with.

I agree on the brown tape, it doesn't suit this bike. (Brown bar tape, more often than not, looks great in the mind, but not so great when on the bike.)
If it were mine, I'd match either the seat, using beige or "ivory" (Deda do an ivory bar tape, I have it on a celeste Bianchi and it looks outstanding), OR match the wheels & forks, using black or a dark, "gunmetal" grey. (Again, Deda do a "gunmetal" grey.) I like the Deda tape because it's cheap, stretches well, cleans up nicely and comes in lots of colours.

My 1996 Bianchi Ti Megatube.

I really need to strip off those ugly stickers from the wheels.

My Litespeed with titanium cranks
This is my Litespeed that I was able to get professionally photographed at the Classic Rendezvous event a couple of weeks ago in Greensboro, NC. It's a rider and not a wall hanger, as you can tell by the chain and handlebar tape. As a matter of fact, it was photographed right after a ride called Tour de Guilford. I bought it used and am not sure what model it is but best we can tell it's a 1998 Tuscany. It's got "37377" stamped on the BB so if anybody can confirm the model it would be much appreciated. You'll have to forgive me for showing off a little but I just love this bike and the way it rides! The custom triple fade paint, the titanium cranks, stem and seatpost make it pretty special to me. The story goes that the original owner had it painted to match the color of the three Ferraris he had owned. He never rode it and his wife ended up selling it eventually.
For some reason, pictures won't upload, but here is a link to the album:

This is the latest iteration of my 2001 Litespeed Tuscany. just about dialed in now! I want to put a black Dura crank on 'er, maybe a new carbon fork next season. I like the simple, no nonsense look it has now. Only thing left for right now is, I'd like to make the word 'Litespeed' disappear from the front of the forks - just to get rid of the yellow up there and keeping consistency (any ideas?). Enjoy...
