Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a "SportsWorld Eclipse"
I got it for $67 AUD (50 US) dollars from an EBAY auction.

Worth that much money, I don't know
Worth it for me, DEFINITELY.

if it moves it must be worth what you paid but what has happened to the chain? it looks like it needs some serious adjusting

figured I'd post my bike finally now that I've got it all built up, it's a 2002 Orbea Zonal frame that I got that had been almost new. Bike is full Ultegra and Ritchey components for the most part with the exception of the wheels which are Neuvation wheels, extremly nice wheels for the money. As you can see I haven't cut off the extra steering tube off yet because I just got finished fine tuning my bike after 200 miles including handlebar height and etc... I have to say compared to my Cannondale R600 this thing rides like an absolute dream. I've completely fallen head over heals for Orbea bikes now.

Very nice, only all white or black bar tape would be even nicer.

Thanks!

DGUT,
I am trying to find out what so special with the bike, it has Shimano groupo, and thats about it, or may be the cranks is solid gold, then the price is about right, sorry to disappoint you but that is way to expensive bike...

$2753.00 at the moment (this includes the newly aquired, not yet installed Dura-Ace 7800 rear derailleur.)

This is actually a Scattante XRL frame only build up, not a complete Scattante R550 / R650 / CFR from Supergo. The frame was ~ $260.00 shipped, and the rest is history.

That 2200 has a really nice paintjob, much better than the 2004 and 2005 Trek

Univega Suntour, Suntour Cyclone components, Nashbar/Wellgo pedals

I'm thinking it would be interesting to have all black rims/tires as well as handlebar tape to match the frame. It is too bad the cable covers don't match.

This is my first bike. I really enjoy riding. 200 lbs but I don't have much weight to lose, I'm 6'2". Had to look everywhere to find a good bike that fits me- I found this one 3 streets away from my house.
