snapped this on a 36 mile ride through Philadelphia yesterday.
I know the stems are not in the correct position, same with the pedals, and I have to slam the stem...blah blah blah, I couldnt be assed with fixing it up perfectly for a photo op.

Custom Peter Mooney steel. Mix of NOS Campy Chorus and Record, Campy Nucleon wheels. Saddle has since been changed to a Toupe, and computer to a Cateye double wireless.

my new Stevens. Chorus with excellent Archetype rims. They're not just for fixies.

My winter build, and now primary steed. Full Shimano 600 drivetrain. I'd still like to update the wheelset (it currently has the original Mavic MA40's laced to Shimano 600 hubs), but they're perfectly functional for the time being. Perhaps the strangest part of the build was dealing with the 1.250" head tube (had to use a Problem Solvers reducer to shim to 1.125"), but it was still a lot of fun watching it come together.

Nice C'Dale. I'm confused - those cantilevered dropouts indicate an older frame, 3.0? 2.8? Shouldn't it have a 1" threaded fork and steerer? 1.25" was MTB realm, no?

Well...posted this in the "hot or not" thread and was told "not" and told to post here. Here's my '12 105 Tarmac in Team Saxo colors. I haven't done a ton to it but here's the pic and the rundown:
ROL Race SL wheels
Conti GP 4000s tires
Ritchey EVO Curve handlebars
Ultegra 11-28 cassette (stock was a 105 I moved to an indoor trainer wheel)
Ultegra chain (the stock was a Tiagra)
New stem (needed a smaller one when I was fit to the bike)
The picture was taken Pre fit so now the handlebars are level and the seat has been moved (only post fit picture I have):

You're right, the frame is a 2.8, and 1.25" was an MTB setting that was pushed for a while. Oddly, the mid-90's R900 models (and only the R900, as far as I know) came with a 1.25" threaded fork/steerer instead of 1" like the rest. This particular one came with the Sub1 fork and a beefy quill stem. I needed to change the bars/stem to get a better fit, but since 1.25" quills are practically non-existant these days, I changed the front end over to the modern 1.125" standard.
