I'm sure the wheels will offend a good chunk of people :D I was expecting to hate them and take them off immediately but I actually really like how they ride!

Yes, generally speaking, those wheels ARE offensive, but you know, they rather make the ensemble there. Not my thing, but it doesn't look half bad - kinda smart looking, actually.

On another bike and color combo, these might be offensive, but here, OOF, so hot. And the black tires. Thank you for those.

Right?? I swear I was the last guy (i thought) to have white decals on wheels. But for some reason on this frame it just works for me. Thanks for the comment!

I am waffling between thinking leave the wheel decals on and have them removed. Tend to think removal would make it too black and leave it unbalanced. I would definitely remove the little periods or whatever those rectangles are supposed to be.

Those wheels looks pretty sweet - what brand are they?

:lol:you'll never guess!

Honestly I should just design a white pattern just to have some white on the wheels! That would make it unique, solve the brand billboard problem AND still balance out the white / black ratio

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't suggest it because I don't know how feasible it is. :thumb:

I'm a graphic designer (which is no guarantee they'll be good haha) and have used few affordable custom decal places for moto racing purposes before. I think I'm gonna give this a go! :thumb:

Well obviously!

Remarkably, even though HED you'd think the large logos would seem HED garish, they actually HED work here HED.

It looks good to me. It just matches all around together with the white HED logo. I give you my stamp of approval! :thumb:

Here's my Allez

Psyccho 11-17-17 01:58 AM

Hot

Capo72 11-17-17 08:39 AM

Not

shafter 11-17-17 09:08 AM

If that bike is hot, then mine is too.

Lukewarm. The Specialized cone spacer is just the worst thing ever from an aesthetics point. Lose that and the rest of the spacers and add some carbon wheels and this would be much warmer.

Everything, and I mean everything, appears to be angled upwards. Definitely not hot. Could be with some work, but as is, no.

EDIT: Upon further review, there are a few no no's here. Mismatched cages. Not in large chainring. Front wheel missing valve cap.

Heh. How it's not rolling off the left side of the photo is beyond me.

Tough crowd. At least you guys are honest. I'm not the best photographer in the world and my bike is pretty plain in comparison to most in here.

It's a form of exercise.
You needn't be 'the best.' Your photo is more than satisfactory, I think, and the bike is very clean. The cages are forgivable, and if a bike is modest in accomplishments, it's best if it is kept plain - respectable is a good thing. :)

And you didn't get butthurt about it, which actually adds a +1 to the hotness of the bike. IDGAF is part and parcel to the bike cool cache.

Just not CLUELESS IDGAF, However. That would be a -3.

Fox Farm 11-19-17 04:47 AM

The Specialized... I really don't like the aesthetics of the sloping top tube or a road bike. Handle bars are rotated upwards - bad. The bike appears to be bone stock, noting wrong with the 105 group, but the bike just does not make my tail wag, so to speak.
