Tough crowd. At least you guys are honest. I'm not the best photographer in the world and my bike is pretty plain in comparison to most in here.

As long as you like it, and are happy with it, nothing else matters.

2000ish Pinarello Galileo- full Campy build. I scored it for $70 and was going to flip it but..I might keep it and sell the old GT training bike. What do you think?

Hot, as in stolen.

Nah I'd think that too but I got it from a couple cleaning out the basement/ garage. Had all kinds of other household stuff and a couple mtbs from that era. Apparently the husband hadn't touched it in years. It's in great shape though, except for the decals peeling.
Campy record and Daytona, 10 speed. Campy Proton wheels

The gruppo is pretty, seat post and saddle are rather nice looking, and the geometry is classic, but aside from that, it has a long way to go. And the welds are rather blobby, so there is only so far it can go....
But for $70, it's pretty dang hot!

Boy, that stem sure tells it age. Nice find. Ace the GT, build the Pinarello IMHO. :thumb:

$70, that's a deal, great find.

[QUOTE=gurk700;19988568]I'm sure the wheels will offend a good chunk of people :D I was expecting to hate them and take them off immediately but I actually really like how they ride

Hot

I've been searching for a similar frameset, but haven't found the right one yet.

The stem looks exactly like the stem from my 2003 Jamis Comet that I now have on my 2004 Bianchi.

Hmmm... the bars are definitely wonky. However, the seat height looks okay to me. It's hard for us shorter guys to get a lot of seat post showing on bikes with horizontal top tubes. The trick is to find a bike that fits, but raise the seat for your dope photos :D I'd post my bike here, but it's most definitely NOT hot.

I like the idea of the silver bar tape, but I don't think it's doing you any favors there - about to tip it over the edge the wrong way. Maybe something a little less shiny/disco/wet-look.... Otherwise, mostly hot.

Thank you! Was going straight for the shiny/disco/wet look. Love it

My new 2018 Aeroad. Let me know if you like the all murdered out black look or not. I need to replace the saddle and can't decide if I should go with an accent color for the saddle, bar tape and bottle cages. Was thinking yellow but not seeing many yellow saddles I like. Red is easier to find but I'm not much of a red guy.

Not real keen on the lump-of-coal look, but I do think golden yellow is the best accent color with it. Don't need much, and nothing solid - maybe just a yellow stripe on the saddle, same for the cages, yellow finishing tape only, not full yellow bar tape. When I had a charcoal gray bike, I liked it with yellow stripe/sidewall tires (NOT gumwalls :) ).

By finishing tape do you mean the 3m 35 electrical tape? What did you think about a Black with yellow splash tape bar tape? I had the Black with Celeste splash on my black and celeste bianchi at least when I could find it in stock.

Yes, typically electrical tape - yellow would be perfect. Maybe you could find some yellow bar ends, too. Splash? No. I think this bike wants something more precise.

You might also try some automobile detailing tape (vinyl pinstripe tape) . . .

Yellow bar tape would look nasty after a month. I wouldn’t do that.
