The bike felt awesome and smooth. Not great pics since one was done during the ride, but there is another one indoors.
Hot from the top tube down. Beyond not hot from the top tube up. Really, I guess if there is any not hot involved, then the overall has to be not hot. Maybe crop out the saddle and bars! |

How are you calculating this? Honestly to me it looks like you made one bad adjustment which caused you to make another bad adjustment to compensate for the first bad adjustment. Which in turn made you make another bad adjustment to compensate ad nauseam.
Can I ask if there is a specific reason for the aerobars? Are you training for a tri? Time trail event you are entered in? Or are they for comfort while riding or do you just want to ride faster? I did a tri years ago and I bought a set specifically for the race, but then took them off after and ended up selling them right after the race. Found out I love running and cycling (already knew that), but getting kicked in the head and essentially open fist punched repeatedly while swimming wasn't my cup of tea. As for the calculations, I started with my Specialized and tweaked those because it was already close. The bar setup and seat height were already okay but I dropped the bars 1cm lower. The main thing was that I noticed I was always sliding up towards the end of the seat, especially when running out of gas. That is why I moved the seat forward. It wasn't a "oh, I already bought this part so I have to buy this part to compensate for the incorrect choice" kinda thing. If I chopped the fork tube and lower my seat and changed the angle of it I would run into crank length problems, my leg would be too bent at the bottom and I'd feel like I was riding a kids tricycle. No one has even seen me on the bike, knows my height, inseam, crank length...etc. Jeezus. Let me go to the doctors so they can start sawing on my bones and changing not only my muscle insertion point bit the muscle origin as well so I can be comfy on a slammed bike. :injured:  |

Right. That thing is the antithesis of hot. The fact that you like it is irrelevant to whether it's hot or not. Same with your fit issues. That's not what this thread is about. It's about aesthetics.
If you don't like it then that is fine, but I did mention aesthetics earlier. Cant make everyone happy all the time. It may not be pretty to you, but whether I like my bike or not is THE most important thing since my name is on the ownership papers. What you think really is of little significance since my goal was to build a fast, comfortable bike that I can cover some ground quickly, not win a beauty contest. It does exactly what I want, so me and my comfortable "fit issues are" perfectly fine with that regardless what you guys (who dont even know my height, inseam or any other vitals) think. "OMG! Did you see his bars? I would never in a million years ride that!" :twitchy::eek::50: Puhleeze. Really? You guys must be a hoot at parties. |

The above is proof that you have totally failed to grasp the point of this thread. It is all about hotness and whether others think your offering is hot. Your temperament strongly suggests that you should start a thread entitled "Fast, Comfortable Bike That Fits Me Well and Can Cover Some Ground Quickly or Not". After all, not hot bikes need love, too. But make no mistake about it; this forum is not the place for that love. O.k. Now I see from your post a few above that you are simply trolling. Lame. |

There’s plenty of threads to discuss fit issues and the merits of your configuration. This thread is not that place, please stop posting here, you’ve said your peace. |

This thread isn't about whose name is on the ownership papers. You posted a picture of your bike, and you don't like the criticism. It is what it is. That bike is pretty horrific to put it nicely. This is a thread where you post a picture of your bike, and we judge it based on the aesthetics of the bike, which yours has none. Take it as a kind of "roast me" thread on another popular social site that starts with an R.
Really? Horrific? Has no aesthetics? I dont know what criteria you guys are using as a basis for your opinion, but are the comments here indicative of the way you guys talk about someone else's pride and joy? "Hey buddy, your bike looks like ****e and you should be decapitated." It must suck to live with that much negativity. You guys need some help. |

I'll take a deep breath and try to explain since you seem to be clinching your fists and ready to take swings lol. not pointing fingers at you here, just explaining. THIS thread IS in fact all about it being a beauty contest. The Hot r Not specifically refers to how sexy a bike LOOKS or doesn't look. If this was posted in the "What bike do you ride", you would not be getting as many curled eyebrows. There are general "Rules" to display your bike which can help result in a proper presentation. This is essentially an online car show. So presentation is important. Those of us that take a lot of pride in our bikes consider them to be like art. So when someone doesn't exactly like what is painted on the canvas, it can sting a little bit. I get it. Its kind of the risk of putting your bike up on display here. Please note that a HOT doesn't equate the $$$ spent. I've seen some $800 entry level bikes that were set up super hot while I've also seen $12k Colnago's that I wouldn't take a second look at unless I was to point and make fun.
Try not to take offense. What I dont get is the verbiage. Maybe they just aren't intelligent enough or have enough manners to offer an opinion without trying to be intentionally butt hurt about something as simple as a bike. |
Again, it isn't about offering help or having manners. This is a cut throat no holds barred thread. You need to go back and take a look through this thread and see how things happen.

Sorry brotha, I think the problem here is that you are the one that is butt hurt and making this a bigger deal than it needs to be. Your bike may check all the boxes for your purpose, but it isn't pretty to look at. Leave it at that mate.
That's fine. I'll still race ya ;) |

It's a nice bike, but that saddle tilt is absolutely ridiculous(and aerobars always look stupid on road bikes). BTW, why no water bottle cages? |
