Too busy, crank isn't that great looking to me (black spider with silver arm), and I don't like the lacing on the rear wheel.

I don't mind the crank. It's better than an ultegra and the silver arms and black rings actually reasonably match the other components. the problem is there is too much going on everywhere else.

i vote:
black seatpost
black stem
black tires
black bar tape
remove wheel decals

if you complete those items, I think it may all come together.

But but but...if you take the decals off the wheels, they won't be Aero any more.

Those wheels are hideous.

Purge everything red from this bike immediately.

Bar/lever positioning is pretty spot on but ergo bars are not a good look. Plus scuffed and 26.0. Unless they are your favorite bars of all time or something...

And its my first ( somewhat old and crappy) road bike, saving for a new one though.

I was looking at some of the nice bikes here and decided to Try and inject some humour into this far to serrious thread....

Its not as hideous as that anymore though I got rid of the saddle and now have a black one and threw that pump of the second I got that bike, replaced the tires and took of the crappy orange stickers.

And conisdering its age its ride very nicely and as I said I like it.
