You are welcome to make a thread for bikes posted however you wish. That is not what this thread is about.

Well if you look back at the early pages of this thread, I believe that's how it started (what I was saying above). Not sure why all these crazy staging "rules" came about.

If the bike is hot/looks hot. Then its hot. Im not sure about th staging rules, but they help to some extent.

Regarding staging...see rules 26, 30, 40, 41, 44, 45, 46, 48, 54, 60, 61

Wheels and group okay? What wheels are those? (Some version of higher-end Mavic Ksy. would be my guess...)

It looks good. I'm definitely a fan of Opus bikes for their music theme.

Still, I'm gonna give this a not as there's nothing to really set it apart from any other one.

The Opus is interesting but I think that the Opus black on white styling is a personal thing - you either really like it or not. I am not nuts about it but it looks like a decent solid bike.

Wheels are fine - they are (the infamous) Mavic R-SYS.

Damaged the derailleur and right shifter. Both also being replaced.

Definitely hot, I see nothing to nitpick and the no setback Thomson post makes it looks badass.

Front QR is on the DS. Fail.

I don't think so, unless they started building QR with the lever on top. Am pretty sure that's just an artifact of depth perception and lack of detail highlights. So he can fail on photography 101 grounds I suppose. However, you can deduct points for having a generally chunky skewer, as well as the crank arm 2 degrees out of line with the chainstay, if you insist.

What is more acceptable for a non flexible guy like me? More spacers or a "happy" stem?

I realize that no spacers, deep drop and a flat stem is preferred, but that simply isn't possible for moi. SO... what's the next best thing? Right now, I have a carbon fork already cut with just one spacer in, and it's not changeable so I had to buy a 17 degree stem and install it up to get the bars where I need them...

Get a BMC Gran Fondo GF01 or Wilier Gran Turismo. Or an S works Roubaix. No spacers and hawt potential abounds.

gc3 03-25-13 09:23 PM

Your problem cannot be corrected with either approach on your existing ride, neither solution is OCP-approved. Like he said...get a taller headtube...but please not the eyesore Wilier!
