Hot. Minor quibbles are the red accent on the saddle and I don't particularly care for those bottle cages but that is still one of the hotter steel bikes I've seen lately.

A set of ENVEs would be perfect. But still HOT.

It's hot. Just out of curiosity, what mount do you have for your GoPro?

K-Edge Gopro Mount. It's a tad pricey for a simple milled piece of aluminum, but sleek and discreet.
The most important part, the Gopro isn't going to go wobble or shake.

Thanks RoadMike. The bottle cages are just what I have laying around and may change. I am open to ideas on something more suitable. Perhaps the VO Moderniste?

Rotate them back down...

LesterOfPuppets 05-24-13 05:44 PM

Drops look unrideable.

As said above, I'd rotate those bars down AND slide the hoods down towards the bar ends. Those are set pretty high up.

What are your thoughts on that saddle? I dont know how i feel about the manufacture recommending you replace it after only a year of use.

jerrayy 05-24-13 07:08 PM

the saddle is too thin for my sit bones
i realized this on my last 60k ride
but for shorter rides, it's really comfortable

i had the bars set up like this before

the bar's design is flawed. The drops and area before the hoods are not parallel

jkuper 05-24-13 09:11 PM

yes, 46mm Reynolds

I agree with bianchi. That 3t dorico post has always been ugly to me, and the offset doesn't work with me either.

Time to invest in some new bars then I'd say.

jtwilson 05-24-13 10:42 PM

jerrayy,

IMO, those bars are designed to be setup closer to your original setup, but rotated down more [with hoods moved up] so the ramps [the section before hoods] drop down at a slight angle onto flat hoods [ala classic bars], and then the drops are closer to [but not quite] level with the ground.

Still, I'd say this bar shape is pretty out-dated and you would be happier with something else.

jerrayy 05-24-13 11:32 PM

what kind of bars do you guys recommend?
compact or a traditional round bend bar?

jtwilson 05-24-13 11:36 PM

Check out the Zipp traditional bend bars.
