I have the same Bora Ultras (also with Shimano drivetrain) on my Bianchi with dark decals. These bight ones perfectly match the De Rosa. No way will I get rid of them.

Cool bike, not a fan of the wheels.

Everything except that saddle looks great to me.
Mind you, I run SMP on my Concorde, so others will hate on that I guess.

Just needs a bit of fine tuning.... trim the excess cable on the derailleurs. There's just too much cable hanging past the jam nut.

Most people will hate the red of course, I like it, and that's all that matters......I'l try to take some better pics to really capture the paint in the sun.

Gum walls, mis-matched bottle cages, and bottles. Cross chained. Icky seatpost, oh, and the red is just not doing it for me.

You may be correct, but it works for me. I like the gum wall look.

My Fuji Roubaix hates that bike.

Thanks for the kind words! I will definitely trim the cables. I've wondered why the shop left so much excess. About the second bottle cage: I took it off. I don't ride very long rides (2 hours normally) and I've found that I never really use the second cage.

There is a looong list of things wrong with that bike:
-Disc brakes
-'tool box'
-gobbler seat post
-saddle looks out of place
-cross chained
-MTB pedals
-bottles in photo
-missmatched cages
-the 'future shock' looks worse than the stack of spacers it would replace
-red stem and post
-negative saddle to bar drop
-seat cluster area of the frame
-riser bars

So yeah, not hot. I like the paint and wheels though, and 9170 isn't too bad either.

Disk brakes are wrong? Are you one of those old 80's steel bike guys?

I don't see what diff the cages makes, as the seat tube cage makes it easy to grab right handed.....all my bikes have that set up as it works well for me and lots of different bottles. I don't match the colors to each bike I have. I grab the first ones there.

I like the tool box there opposed to a seat bag.

Saddle is a comfortable all weather brooks C-15.

FS and the Seat post extend the comfort considerably.

Cross chained was testing the FD for battery life.

I despise road shoes and prefer MTB shoes and pedals.

Longer rides from that saddle to bar drop.....I'm old.....no more racing needed.

Other than the pedals and seat its all stock S-Works.

The colors are OK, but that glitter, and those shapes - horrific. It's like they're trying to see how tasteless and ugly they can make it.
But you know what's ironic? Your addition of "gumwalls" actually makes sense - I really like it. I don't buy into the notion that they only belong on vintage-looking bikes - I think it's generally a natural look, and on some vintage-y bikes, they just look like trying too hard. But here it's like the bike wasn't flashy enough for you as it was, so you added the colored sidewalls. You could have gone with bright yellow (which I think looks excellent on black and gray bikes) for even more garishness, but in this case, that would have just looked amateurish. The natural color is definitely more "pro." Not in the sense that it's what pro riders do, but in the sense that you know what you're doing when you put a flashy bike together.

Speaking of flashy.....I wish I could get my hands on one of those Red Hook Crit Allez frames when they came out. Those were pretty crazy loud.

I really like that bike. The only issue for me is that the seat post's adam's apple is bigger than mine, and that's saying a lot. I like the glitter color and the use of red. The angles look good. The flow looks good. Sharp bike that dares to be a little different.

Hot. All the way around, very nicely done.

I do like the look of old bikes, more so than most modern ones, I also like the look of rim brakes more than disc brakes.
All that is fine, function over form and all that, but this is hot or not, and all those things are ugly.
It doesn't come stock with the red bits does it? I hope not anyway. The stock bike is pretty ugly to begin with...
