rookie mistakes on my part lol

And I won't deny the appeal that the black-by-default approach has for a lot of people. All in all, it's totally respectable (and in some ways, "respectable" isn't so "hot." :) ) What prevents this from being hot, though, is the randomness of everything that's not black, like the bright asterisk on the chain ring, the spots of polished metal elsewhere on the group, the spotty white bits on the wheels, and the blue on the bottles. I wouldn't suggest that every last spot has to be black, but there just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the bits that aren't. Small labels and such usually don't have much if any effect, but in this case - especially with the sort of clinical staging - they are much more apparent.

I dont think any of that affects the bike. He should have staged without the bottles in but other than that Im going with hot. Probably one of the better looking Cannondales. Im not a big fan of Cannondales so giving it a hot is tough for me but it looks great.

Some people, once they see SRAM, the blood rushes away from the brain to fuel the automatic hate fueled hard on and rationality vanishes.

Just look the other way folks, don't stare and point.

Those derailleurs look hideous. There's no getting around the giant battery.

Red mechanical looks better, and are less problematic.

QFT.

The manufacturer makes no difference to me. (I had SRAM Force on my old IF and liked it a lot.) They look hideous.

This thread is about personal opinions. If you cannot understand that you have no business here. You know what I'm sayin'?

WORD

FTR, Shimano 7000/8000/9100 derailleurs are hideous too.

What about 9000, because that's what I have?

Dura-Ace seems to skip a generation.

7400 looks good, 7700 is boring
7800 is nice looking, 7900 is hideous
9000 looks great, 9100 is meh

7000/8000/9100 derailleurs look like they belong on a mountain bike.

I bought the bike used over a week ago. The seat post is a 3T Stylus 25 Team Stealth Carbon. As for the spacers... I think it's on the high end as well but I/m comfortable on the bike now and don't really care for slammed stems that much. Certainly not just for looks anyways.

the seatpost only looks odd because the saddle is pushed all the way forward.

I don't care for the look of a slammed bike, but about half those spacers would look "right". Ride whatever is comfortable, but those bars are definitely too high for me(JMO).

I give the Marinoni a HOT all day long. I also wax longingly with them as both a previous owner of one and employee of the company when I was a kid and built wheels for them. Either way though, the look is great as well.

Nick, I think your Cannondale also looks as awesome as always. Obviously black bikes are not my cup of tea, but man your's is well thought out and decked out!

The Trek with the impotent saddle is very nice but the saddle takes too much away, I'll still give it a semi-hot simply since I understand the need for comfort and if that saddle works then who am I to judge (oh wait...)!

Missed that also. I am off my game today.

Is that a deda superlegerra seatpost ? if yes, how did you remove the logos ?

I have remove all the non-black logo and lettering on my Deda but i'm not sure how to do it on the seatpost.

Try acetone first and give some good elbow grease. Oddly enough my friend got his off with acenton. However, mine were under a clearcoat. So I used a light sandpaper and took the clear off and then continued with the logos. Then tapered it with lighter and lighter sandpaper. Had no issues.

I use acetone for the stem but i was not sure if it was safe on carbon fiber.

Thanks for the answer.

just like anything else, I'd test spot it. Try below the insertion line first.

I don’t know if I would say standard but 11-28 is pretty common these days. Tomorrow 11-30 will probably be more common.

Seat post too high. Slammed stems don't look good...at all. All black is a bit on the boring side. Cannondales spider cranks are ugly as heck. For me, most carbon bikes are just an average run of the mill cookie cutter chinese carbon...but for some reason this cannondale frame seems legendary. Probably the best carbon bike in this thread considering the 99% of the Chinese pile in here. Nice enve carbon wheels. It's carbon, it's run of the mill chinese, but it's still a cannondale, and that makes it ok but a few tiers below American Ti frames.

It sounds like someone is a little butt hurt, because his bike isn't hot.
