Hot, and the gumwalls make it.

Extremely attractive. Unique. But not hot.

Not the newest bike out of the showroom 7900 group with 6800 crank, temporary wired computer, mtb pedals but she and I get the occasional top 10 strava segment together. Maiden voyage with the new wheels once I get my latex tubes and valve extenders. Photo angle makes the bars look a bit funky.

Hot-like. This is a style that makes for some really hot bikes in my book. Not sure what's preventing this one from being one of them, though. I try not to be a brand or component snob, but maybe the wired computer and run-of-the-mill shimanoness and GP4Kness have more of an effect than I realize.

Bars and saddle kill it for me

Thanks everyone for all the comments.

Thats true, a "deal' that is hard to beat for less than 2000$CAD for a custom frameset (geometry + paint).

I'm readjusting the bars and I don't particularly like the saddle if that helps. This is saddle #3 for this bike and it isnt great.

I have a set of tanwall vittoria corsa g+ tires that I am considering putting on the rims but waiting for my tubes and valve extenders to show up. The saddle looks awful perched up there, feels about the same, and the bars and brifters need to be adjusted a bit. I would consider this bike a butterface...everything but her face, or rather above the top tube.

I like that the wrap plays well with the black and red of the frame. That is all. Small chain ring. What's that thing on the seatpost? Never liked wheel with that spoke configuration.

It looks like a mount for a saddle bag.

Those wheels are a PITA to true

Missed that. I was referring to the red thingy.

I can imagine they are.

I'm assuming tail light. If it's a reflector, I'm throwing my computer out the window. Anyway it's an automatic not-hot because of staging.

Ditched the gumwalls and went with black Vittoria Corsa's. Never thought I would see myself back on all black tires but I LOVE it! Changes the entire look and feel like I'm looking at a whole new bike.

11-28 is "standard". Good to know

Although it's not to my taste, I totally understand your enthusiasm over the new look - it's like you can sit with the "cool kids" now. And I won't deny the appeal that the black-by-default approach has for a lot of people. All in all, it's totally respectable (and in some ways, "respectable" isn't so "hot." :) ) What prevents this from being hot, though, is the randomness of everything that's not black, like the bright asterisk on the chain ring, the spots of polished metal elsewhere on the group, the spotty white bits on the wheels, and the blue on the bottles. I wouldn't suggest that every last spot has to be black, but there just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the bits that aren't. Small labels and such usually don't have much if any effect, but in this case - especially with the sort of clinical staging - they are much more apparent.
